lildave3 Posted 15 October 2006 Posted 15 October 2006 Just watching the Arsenal v Watford highlights, and when Henry scored i noticed their fans were just clapping casually. No jumping up and down, no screaming, no whooping. Just slow applause. Compare that to our game yesterday, i was going mental every time we scored and i know a lot of people were! Maybe it's just because Arsenal have got used to scroing

SystonFox Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 they are passionless and boring. even in the c hampions league final none of them lot seemed bothered they were 1-0 up with 10 men against arguably the worlds best club side. shit when we scored against birmingham i went mad for around 5 minutes and they're arguably the best side in the championship. hardly barcelona. it obviously means alot more to us down here. bet its boring being a chelsea fan, not lost at home for over 2 years.

Manwell Pablo Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Arsenal fans are having the same problems we had, and still do have. They have lost the atmosphere of Highbury which used to be one of the loudest grounds in the prem. Another case that proves it's not just the fans that create a atmosphere, it's also the surrondings. However when you've got a 60 odd thousand state of the art stadium. With facilties and decor that they have, I guess it's alot easier to live with.
Foxello Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Remember the Library? Arsenal fans have never been the most hyped up in the world have they?

Manwell Pablo Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Remind me exactly when that was. I must have been asleep that season... They could make noise when they wanted to .
Milky Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 people express emotions in different ways, just because someone isn't jumping around doesn't mean they don't care or care any less than the mad fan. internally they will feel it just the same. look at benitez for example, he never celebrates a goal, even the gerrard stunner against olympiacos to put them through in the champs league, but i'm certain that inside he was ecstatic.
Ultra Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 They could make noise when they wanted to . Against Man Utd or Spurs perhaps. I don't remember any whenever we went there, even though they usually beat us!
SystonFox Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Yeah i bet, who'd want to win 2 premierships in a row anyways? the championship is where its at these days. and usually this week the team who sit in 16th are determined as the best.

Best ever = Arsenal winning the title at Anfield when Michael Thomas scored in the last minute. "And it's up for grabs noooooooooooow!" The away end went bananas.
