lildave3 Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Use sparingly, keep in mind it's a fairly attacking formation (though, I admit I myself always seem to have Newcastle as a boggie team. And Zaragoza in Spain.) If you lot are actually seriously using it and it's working, I'll post some of the more specific instructions to help you keep the goals out. But for now I'm off to work! Yeah your tactics not looking so good for me anymore
Finnegan Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Haha, then adjust. It really largely depends on the players you have, tweak the sliders about and the individual instructions to meet the specifics of your players. The most important, especially with the deep defence, is to make sure you have the Mentality of you DM, CBs and full backs to more defensive.
Joe. Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 I'm going to try these wonderous tactics out now..... I need to see what all the hype is about
Finnegan Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 I think it only works against shit teams Narh, it works against all teams - you just need to invest in decent defenders / goalkeeper (and make sure they're sat deep.) & now I really am off to work.
Brainy Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Don't involve Arsenal in that list though, i get killed everytime I go to the Emirates (especially if i've just been promoted) Just been beaten 7-1
Finnegan Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Was four nil up against Arsenal in the Emirates in the space of fifteen minutes. .... and lost 6 - 5
Brainy Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 I cant be sitting to deep. My goalkeeper just got the ball on the edge of his area and decided to run up to the halfway line, before giving away the ball
lildave3 Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 I've just beat the Baggies 6-1. It's a great tactic really, no matter what team you play against, i'm just not consistent enough. I just pray that i'll be able to get Vela for another season next year
lildave3 Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Problem with Finners tactic, you do get panned when you lose. Well I do anyway...
Simi Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Top of the league with Liverpool after 3 games. Using the formation from the Champions League final.
lildave3 Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Top of the league with Liverpool after 3 games. Using the formation from the Champions League final. Finished my 2nd season with Boro, finished 10th. Showed glimpses of absolute brilliance at times, including a 6-1 win over West Brom and a 4-1 over Liverpool at the Riverside, aswell as going to St James' Park and panning the geordies 4-1, but wasn't consistent enough. Was only a point away from the Euro Vase, and that was only because Reading (the team that got the Euro Vase place) beat me 3-1 on the penultimate game. <_<
Brainy Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Could be worse... Home is where its at Won my last four I could improve
Brainy Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Oh thats it. Away games, played 7 lost 7. I now go on holiday for all away games.
JoeyB Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Time to load up my game now. after getting a pay rise at work i think i'm in need of it
lildave3 Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Time to load up my game now. after getting a pay rise at work i think i'm in need of it Like mentioning that don't you?
JoeyB Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Like mentioning that don't you? Yeah, just gota mention it . after opening it up i beat man utd in the community shield, then decided thats enough after getting II Makoun to accept a contract, awaiting work permit, will carry on tomorrow
Finnegan Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Problem with Finners tactic, you do get panned when you lose. Well I do anyway... Yeah. Basically, every now and then you'll come up against a team who counters something you're doing and you need to adjust. A couple of times a season I'll come up against a side that just completely undo me. Closing Down is one of the things that does it, I think, it makes quite big holes against some sides. But when you wil, you'll WIN If you can keep your side consistent and are good with team talks / the media, it should pay off a lot.
lildave3 Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 Jeez, how many of you on here would take Huth, Lee Dong Gook or Chopra for 500k each? Can't give them away these days <_<
Finnegan Posted 26 May 2007 Posted 26 May 2007 I'd have Chopra for 350 - 450k. But considering I got Arturo Lupoli for 700k, I'd not be that eager!
Tubes Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Tony Scholes (who?) wants to takeover Stoke :D got took over on my city game expecting them to put loads of money in someone lilley or something yet all he did was made us a public limited company and put no money in whatsoever
Brainy Posted 27 May 2007 Posted 27 May 2007 Hes just told me that he will not be investing money into the club AT THIS TIME.... ...
