Drop him back and find a quality DM I find it makes a pretty massive difference. I'd be looking to the SPL for defenders, too. Darren Barr, Willie Kinnibugh on the cheap have worked for me in the Premiership. Gary Caldwell and Stephen Whittaker were worth a look when I had a bit more dollar-dollar bill, too. I've just put Artur Boruc between the sticks, too, this season and he's doing a great job. 5th in the Premiership in the third season, can't be too bad:

But since Mikel came in in January I tried to bring in a system that fitted in both Mikel and Varynen. And cheers for the tip about SPL defenders, i'll have a look
Finnegan Posted 24 May 2007 Posted 24 May 2007 The game's a bit odd, I mean, Barr and Kinnibugh look a little unimpressive. Heading, tackling, marking, concentration, positioning all about 14 - 16. But they work, and that's good enough for me. They've got fair potential, too, according to my scouts - and they're always wanted by half the Premiership at the start of the game. The SPL's a FM goldmine and always worth a browse.

Mark Wilson's great from Celtic, too, if you can afford him. Basically, just buy Celtic, tbh. Haha. How they manage to lose to Rangers frequently on that game is beyond me, they're so over-rated
potter3 Posted 24 May 2007 Posted 24 May 2007 Carlos Vela for me: Apps 80 Gls 18 And his average rating in 7.20 including when he was at Zaragoza and Salamanca. He's not poor, just not worth £17 million. Huntelaar was quality for Ajax though.

Sometimes I play him up front, sometime AMC, depends how/who I'm playing. I've only won one competition

Charmin, i forgot my tactics, they were for Luke Moore and John Carew but sold him to sunder land for 3.5 million and i bet he's banging them in now, and luke moore is backup

I'd start sniggering about the competitions I've won, but to be honest, Betis aren't the hardest side to play as and I got taken over by an incredibly generous board member halfway through my second season and am rather on the rich side. Haha. That said, I'm halfway through an undefeated season and do play some RATHER sexual football.
potter3 Posted 24 May 2007 Posted 24 May 2007 I just started a match, havn't played this game for months, my last 4 games: Beat Portsmouth 5-1 Lost to Boro' 4-1 Beat Man U 4-0 Lost to Rangers 3-0 I need some consistency, 2-1 agasint Wigan at half time Oh, and at least it was the Premiership I've won, not the Community Shield or somehting.
lildave3 Posted 24 May 2007 Posted 24 May 2007 Very pleased with my summer activities. 16 Players have left the club for a total of 11.5 million and 8 players have come in for a total of 15.5 million. Looking forward to the season now, hoping for a top 6/7 finish.

I'm not playing him because he hasn't performed above a 6 this season But he's still complaining.

I just needed the money to buy people so I just let them go. There's still quite a lot of rubbish in the reserves too.
