Brummie-FOX Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 Mine would be Leicester 0-1 Man Utd at Filbert Street back in 2002 (i guess). I think that game sent us down or basically guaranteed us 2nd tier football the next season..

Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Cup at Filbo, my grandmother had died a couple of days beforehand and I was a bit of a wreck anyway cos we were very close (I was only 13 at the time.) It was all a bit too much when we lost that after playing so well.
Master Fox Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 1999 Worthington Cup final v Tottenham Losing to Wycombe in Qrt finals of FA cup was probably the only time. I felt physically sick

Durnerz Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 When I saw the prices for the Forest away game!

bold_fox Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 Beating Man U at Old trafford. I was in a corporate box, and got the satisfaction of having some the Man U players come up to the meal after the game. Never forget that day. I never cry when we lose ! it'd be to often !
Thracian Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 FA Cup Final against Spurs in the 60's when we devloped a great side under Matt Gillies and when Spurs were exceptional. There was a real feeling around that we could at last win the Cup but our right back Len "Chopper" Chalmers got injured early on and from then on it was clearly never going to be our day. In those days we beat the best Manchester United and Liverpool teams ever put together on occasions but Spurs broke our hearts more than once with people like Cliff Jones, Bobby Smith, Dave Mackay, John White, Danny Blanchflower and so many other household names. They had a real swagger and were famed for a "new" push and run style favoured by their legendary manager Bill Nicholson. It was a Spurs team I'd put in my top 10 of all time in English football, at least of those I watched.
Southern Fox Home Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 Play off Final v Swindon when we went 3-0 down. My old man asked if I wanted to leave. Said no. 3-0 soon became 3-3 and cant descibed the feelings that i went through ok so we lost 4-3 in the end with a dodgy pen but the tears had gone by then. i was still proud of the comeback

Not only did he lose his life - he missed one of the very best comebacks in football history and probably the most historic moment in Liverpool's existence.
Tubes Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 athletico madrid away i was roughly 8 years old and never bin so happy

Not only did he lose his life - he missed one of the very best comebacks in football history and probably the most historic moment in Liverpool's existence. I had more faith in them than he did then, I was on holiday in Shaldon watching it on a 14" tele, The Mrs wanted to go out but I kept on insisting they would comeback, mind you I wasn't expecting them to win it.

Neither was that other bloke who, at half-time, bet his life savings on Milan winning. With a 3-0 lead the odds he got were understandably awful, but he reckoned it would be the easiest few bob he ever made ... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOps!!! Hard to explain that one to the Mrs afterwards.
dhermon Posted 24 October 2006 Posted 24 October 2006 Leicester city 1 Sunderland 0 With the $5 millon dollar man bagging the goal

Maybe a part of me died that day. Cried at the final whistle because it was so unfair. We had made one of the best ever comebacks only for the ref to cheat us out of promotion for a second time. It was the injustice I tell you. Probably didn't help that I fell down the stairs at Wembley. :pinch: It was at that point I realised Wembley was a dump and was glad when they knocked it down.
