Just downloaded Firefox 2.0 since it was release yesterday or whatever.

So far things are going well.

Shame my favourite themes aren't yet available.:P

Anyone else got 2.0 yet? Did you even know it was out? :o

Discuss!

Well that was funny.

Firefox 2.0 has a spell-checker function when you type in text fields such as the ones you encounter when trying to post a topic!

I only found that out because the US dictionary was set as default, so it took exception to a couple of words. I tried typing words wrong to see if it really was a spell-checker or something else. :P

Try it, kids!

I've used Opera and Firefox, and to be honest I thought they were a bit pants!! I'm just an IE guy through and through!!! (Version 7 though!)

And another thing. Can somebody give me 3 'good' reasons to use Firefox!

1) It is quicker than IE

2) It is far more secure than IE

3) It is not made by Microsoft.....

I'm a mozilla fan, and have been for a while!

Used to like the fully blown Mozilla browser package... but I got frustrated with it as it took an age to load if you didn't pre-load it at startup. :(

So, I went back to IE6 until I heard about Firefox. I downloaded it near the end of the 0.7 technology preview cycle... 0.8 was quickly released and I grabbed that. I've been a Firefox user ever since. ;)

* The good: Firefox 2 adds built-in antiphishing protection, search engine suggestions, session restore, inline spell-checking, and Live Titles; the browser is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux; localized versions available in many different languages.

* The bad: The Firefox 2 uninstall leaves behind a mess; some 1.5 version add-ons will break in 2.0; there are no thumbnail previews of open tabs; the browser doesn't yet pass the Web Standards Project Acid2 test.

* The bottom line: Mozilla Firefox 2 is a winner, beating Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 on security, features, and overall cool factor and deserving our Editors' Choice award.
