davieG Posted 9 November 2006 Share Posted 9 November 2006 Kelly set for loan market raid - source Leicester boss Rob Kelly has reiterated his desire to make loan signings amidst concerns the hectic schedule is starting to take its toll. Last week's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday signalled the end of a gruelling run of seven matches in 22 days for the Foxes. During that period defenders Gareth McAuley, Alan Maybury, Patrick Kisnorbo, Paddy McCarthy, Darren Kenton and Nils-Eric Johansson, midfield quartet Gareth Williams, Danny Tiatto, Stephen Hughes and Andy Johnson and striker Matty Fryatt have all endured spells on the sidelines through injury. That has seen teenagers such as Chris O'Grady, Levi Porter and James Wesolowski thrown into the fray. But despite praising his young talent, Kelly believes extra numbers are needed at the Walkers Stadium. "They have done well and they will get better but I do believe if you are expecting them to play 30-odd games, that is a lot," said Kelly. "It is a hard stretch and that is why we are trying to get a couple in. "It would help us because we have had so many important games in such a short period of time. We have been playing every midweek for a month. We try to get players through without any injuries but that is be a big ask." Well that's a load of bollocks for a start. Thracian Posted 9 November 2006 Share Posted 9 November 2006 What a load of cack ... Porter, COG and Weso have hardly raised a sweat so far this season what with injuries and being left out for whatever reason.
Scow Posted 9 November 2006 Share Posted 9 November 2006 Well that's a load of bollocks for a start. You shouldn't expect anything more from TeamTalk. Maybe if he put it down he'd be able to run quicker. Skills must have dropped it against Villa. Agbonlahor didn't know what hit him...
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 November 2006 Share Posted 9 November 2006 30+ games is alot of games for younger players, surely most people should be able to see that. Apart from Thracian of course who thinks they're all fitter than He-man.

Joe. Posted 10 November 2006 Share Posted 10 November 2006 Seems like an odd time to raid the loan market when just today he's said that the injury front is looking better. It's not really about the injuries I don't think. Maybe he's just finally realised we have no quality in places.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 10 November 2006 Share Posted 10 November 2006 Let's hope with MM coming in it could be audacious moves for Jason Koumas or Alan Smith ???? - obviously the latter is a loan deal and let's hijack Leeds' and Cardiff's attempts to get Smithy in on loan !! Obviously it depends if he is getting into the WBA side, but a player of his quality in the middle of the park is exactly what we need.
Magic No. 8 Posted 10 November 2006 Share Posted 10 November 2006 What a load of cack ... Porter, COG and Weso have hardly raised a sweat so far this season what with injuries and being left out for whatever reason. Chris O'grady has had plenty of chances he just isn't good enough. Porter equally isn't as good as he is made out to be by some. He also has a rotten attitude. Wesolowski is a quality quality player, who is a little bit (understatement) prone to injury. the last thing he needs is rushing into the first team when he is not injury free. You have some serious beer goggles when it comes to the youth team.

And for such an supposed arsehole he's always seemed popular with his team mates and always seems to have plenty of chirpy company around him. The casino story sounded like someone interrupting a guys private night out with friends in a less than friendly way and I can well understand anyone not being pleased. Had it been our national hero Rooney, and a good few others I can think of, the interruptor would probably have been chinned.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 November 2006 Share Posted 10 November 2006 I never consider the casino story by itself. One event doesn't mean someone has a terrible attitude problem. On the contrary - we all have bad days, so it is possible, in view of the lack of other events to date, that he was having a bad day that day. If someone provides 4 or 5 other such events, then we should perhaps read into them.

Some geezer comes up after a night on the ale, ranting in your face about your supposed lack of commitment, not sticking one on him would seem an overly measured response. To then have it stuck on some forum that what were presumably his attempts to avoid a violent confrontation is evidence of a bad attitude seems rather unkind. Candidcamera Posted 11 November 2006 Share Posted 11 November 2006 So that will be forum tittle tattle then! IMO the youngsters are doing just fine - it's the oldies that struggle. If and when we have more youngsters roll them out, I say.
