Singh, have you been to that indian restaurant on Narbrough road, it looks like its a pizzeria and its always full of asians.

Sholays Pizzeria???? I went when it first opened, and it was very nice, they do the 'normal' range of pizza's and they offer many with a Indian twist. It's reasonably priced and the service was very good!!!

Message to TPH, Mrs Singh has been warned that TPH maybe making an appearance!!!! :D

There's also a buffet place accross the road to it, but I have heard it's quite mediocre.

If you like grilled\Tandooried dishes and good curries with a decent pint, try Barcode, which is also on the Narborough Road but further towards town. We often have a few beers and a 'sizzler' in Barcode, I know the owner and the food standard and quality is very good!!

They do pizzas but also have a curry corner menu!

TnT or Kheema (Mince) Pizza's are ace!

Where's that?

Oadby, virtually opposite the wheel.

Very nice and friendly, need to book though, as its fairly small and very popular!!

I don't know the outskirts of Leicester very well. Anywhere near Asda?

Fairly, its on the main road through Oadby centre, but on the opposite side to Asda. Bout 1/2 a mile away

Swatlands

Asda is top left hand corner of map

Chicken Balti Saag Paneer, that's all I need to say. If it's on the menu, then chances are the Indian Restaurant will be fine by me.

TBH Ric, most places would do that for you, even if it's not on the menu. My mate, who's a mushroom addict, often orders, chicken saag, paneer, with mushrooms!!!

Fire and Ice is OK in Oadby (next to the wheel).

Do you mean the orange colouring, because that's usually the spice Tumeric ( Ithnik that's what it's called in english), or as i know it Haldi (indian name). If the the 'curry sauce', isn't cooked properly, then you will get haldi stains on your fingers!!

In most restaurants, a general 'curry sauce' is pre-made and all they do is add the meat and veg and certain spices to make the individual dish, hence your curry only takes 5-10 minutes to make!!

In general the curry sauce takes around 2 hours to make. Most people get upset bellies because of the fact that spices etc is added to the cooked sauce, hence don't get cooked properly, remain in a raw state, hence the belly problem!!!
