Very good display of French Mr. Bob The fact that she is a woman means that she will nag at you from time to time Why do we need to remember those words though?!?! I shall be voting for the thread in your sig, but I'm not sure about your request for a "best takeover" thread
The People's Hero Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 I was looking at the awards for last year. Some of you lot voted really strangely. Who voted for me for Most Respected? I mean... come on. Interesting point here... how well do you reckon you know the other posters on here. I've posted over 10,000 times and assuming you've read a few, you probably have got to know my typing mannerisms, syntax etc... do you think you'd notice if, for example, I came on as a 'new' poster... or swapped login details with someone else for a few days?

lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 do you think you'd notice if, for example, I came on as a 'new' poster... or swapped login details with someone else for a few days? I can't see why not. Unique posting type. Catchphrases such as "Ole!" Tendency to steer off topic as much as possible. Much more ridiculous nonsense than most post on here. But you get away with it. People are bound to notice if somebody else starts doing it and you stop. Or is a new poster comes on and behaves in such a manner.

lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 You'd think so, huh? So is this not the case in reality then?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Bit late now for me as I've done a rush impulse job with my voting (what can I say? I got excited), but can you just clarify what the difference is between Best Contributor and Poster of the Year?

I got excited), but can you just clarify what the difference is between Best Contributor and Poster of the Year? not wanting to speak for the honourable mr d.g; i took it to mean: best contributor; the one who keeps the place going when things are slowing down (usually in general chat for me!) and poster of the year; poster who (most likely in the LCFC forum) i always read and usually learn something from
Floating Fox Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Well its Thracian 3 Lisa 3 Wils 2 On Most Dedicated LCFC fan.
davieG Posted 19 November 2006 Author Posted 19 November 2006 Bit late now for me as I've done a rush impulse job with my voting (what can I say? I got excited), but can you just clarify what the difference is between Best Contributor and Poster of the Year? A good question, I guess it's open to interpretation whatever I may think, but best contributor is someone who as Stez says, keeps the place going puts in time and effort, posting lots of quality posts making the site attractive to both old and new members. Poster of the year I would say is a more personal vote and would be whatever you want it to be, it could be the one that has given you the most, pleasure, fun, thoughts anything really, someone who really strikes a cord with you they don't need to be prolific. But thats just my view, I guess what we shouldn't do is take it too seriously, not that I want to invite stupidity.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Not take this seriously?! I've organised a victory parade in Trafalgar Square for whoever wins Poster of the Year! Seriously though, thanks for the clarification.
