After seeing all the controversy in the B'burn v Spurs game, I couldn't help but wonder whether video evidence would be a good thing or a bad thing.

The case FOR it:

There is so much money involved in football these days, video evidence could help fairly solve the crucial decisions that referees get wrong a lot of the time. Managers would have nothing to complain about referee-wise and referees would be more protected.

The case AGINST it:

The excitement of football is what we love about it. It would be sad to change this for the sake of video technology that would get almost every decision right.

For me, I don't think I would like to see video evidence in place. I think the excitement and controversy of football is what we love about it and we would have nothing to talk about if there was no controversy.

Your thougts here...

Yeah i think this is a good idea, the amount of games that have been affected by a decision that has turned out to be wrong,or the ball has crossed the line and a team has been denied the goal which could proove costly.

No - bad refereeing decisions are a part of the game that we just have to accept. If we start using video replays there will be absolutely no flow to the game, it'll just be stop, start, stop, start every 2 minutes.

Anyway, the bad decisions make football more interesting, they give you a talking point even if it is annoying when they go against your team.

Each team should have 2 challenges to contentious decisions. If they don't like a decision they should be able to try and overturn the decision by going to the video ref. They have the same system in the NFL and it works brilliantly.

Yes.

Common sense.

I just think it should only be used on the goal line. I wouldnt like for it to be used anywhere else becasue, like what someone else said before, the game will just be stop start.

No fucl of!!!!!!

Only goal line detector thingys thats it.

You can't pause games for a few tw@s to make decisions in a room while the whole round is waiting. Football is a fast pace sport and should not be slowed down with decisions. They've managed pretty well for the last 100 without video replays why start now!?

Exactly what i was going to say. All the media talk about is the controversy from whatever match if we were to have video evidence it would all stop all of the fun and the match would stop and start

Although I would like to see the FA to hand out punishments for diving after looking at videos after the game beacuse that is nothing short of cheating! no place for that in football!
