Manwell Pablo Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 ' date='Feb 25 2007, 03:42 AM' post='546011'] That is all. Not impressed then? There are certain things I just can't believe about it I have to say, one being that it's now nearly March and it's still difficult to get hold of one and some consoles are still going on eBay for more than the shelf price. Second the virtual console games are all poor, due to the fact that Nintendo have re - released most of them about 4 times already. They're all over priced as well. Then theres the whole breaking your telly thing. Theres a few games that look like a laugh but nothing that looks outstanding, just looks good for pissed up entertainment and I can think of better ways to spend 179.99 tbh. I'll be waiting for it come down or for Nintendo to release more than one game that actually looks good before I part with my cash.

You've named about 7 games there that can be bought cheaper off eBay with other games i.e Sonic (sonic mega collection) both the Zelda games in the Zelda colelction for about 15 quid. Complete waste of time.
Sods Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Also aren't they going to run out of ideas for games, i like the idea but not for me

Complete waste of time. But with buying them cheaply on eBay you'd need a NES, SNES, Megadrive, N64 and Turbo Grafix console. All in working order, all under your TV. Now Id don't know about your living room, but mine ain't that big!! Also aren't they going to run out of ideas for games, i like the idea but not for me Strangest statement... ever!!!?? Unless you mean the industry as a whole!!
Sods Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Strangest statement... ever!!!?? Unless you mean the industry as a whole!! i mean the games are only going to be the same. And you will be doing the same things all the time. Plus it must get knackering
Phube Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 i mean the games are only going to be the same. And you will be doing the same things all the time. Plus it must get knackering Do you video game?? Cause all the games have been like that for the past 10 years or more!! Only these are actually really new!!! It's only as knackering as you want it to be...
Daggers Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 It's only as knackering as you want it to be... Welcome back Phube...the only man with enough energy to be newly married and still have enough 'ooomph' left over for his Wii
Phube Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Welcome back Phube...the only man with enough energy to be newly married and still have enough 'ooomph' left over for his Wii I don't have it back yet!!! My best man was 'looking after' it for me, and he's at work still!!!! I'm getting withdrawal symtoms!!! (Could be jet lag though... )

My housemate ordered one on Thursday off Gameplay when they were in stock but I got an email on Friday (he did it on my account) saying his card had been declined so I ordered it on my card on Friday but they went out of stock in between then. God knows how long we'll have to wait now.
the_bowman Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 its alrite, ive still only got wii sports and wii play, but the motion sensor is very good and i can see great potential with it - I just cant wait to get Zelda
cisono Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 I'd love one, but won't be able to afford it until a new version comes out and this version is available second hand
JoeyB Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 I'd love one, but won't be able to afford it until a new version comes out and this version is available second hand i was in game earlier and i asked why they haven't got a wii console out for people to play on and he said: because in a shop in America one person was playing a boxing and punched his mate and knocked him out, and he then went on to sue nintendo for him knocking his mate out. i thought trust the Americans to do something like that

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 But with buying them cheaply on eBay you'd need a NES, SNES, Megadrive, N64 and Turbo Grafix console. Not at all, you can pick up Sonic 1,2,3,knuckles + more all for gamecube for not much more than Sonic one would cost you on your virtual console. Same with Zelda, Zelda 1 2 Ocrania of time and Majoras mask all on a Gamecube collection for about 15 quid, Ocrania of time costs about a tenner on it's own off the virtual console. This is my point, Nintendo have re-released their games so many times alot of people will have copies of most of their games lying about anyway. As I say the games cost to much anyway seeing as they've just stuck them on the internet for download, no production or programing needed it at all and they charge nearly a tenner minimum for N 64 games, rip off. Also alot of those games have been re hashed and and re released on the DS/Gameboy, like Mario 64. And I dunno why you've put Mario Kart 64 in as it is just shite. Even the retail games are like to an extent, that Trauma centre games is on the DS and is easier to play that way and Twlight princess is out on the Gamecube, I can imagine a game of that length being much easier to play with a control pad. It's just not worth the money at the minute theres nothing to it.
potter3 Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 And then we suffer all the repercussions as well... Yeah, the bunch of pikeys...
Alexikokopops Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 Good news, hopefully the Wii will be dispatched tomorrow. WEGUA

Well I've now racked up 36 hours, and not once have I felt tired, achy or thought better to play like Wind Waker. In fact it's more comfortable in my opinion as you can rest your hand on your thighs a good shoulder with apart, which is easier than cramping your hand together for hours on end!! The other point is isf you own these games for the Cube (which I do with OoT) then you don't HAVE to buy them!! One more big benifit, you can pause any game on VC and come back to it days later and carry on at the same point, you can't do that with the old games!!!

Again you can with some of the re - released ones! In any case I don't think the abilty to pause the games from the early 90's and come back to the days later is worth £179.99 somehow.
Onion Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 got mine yesturday with Zelda but I aint even started it yet because ive been messing with Wii Sports so much!

Manwell Pablo Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 You do realise that it does more than play old games don't you??! Yes it also plays very mediocre games and/or games that are alot better on the other formats they were released on! Again £179.99 I think not!
