Nationwider Posted 6 December 2006 Posted 6 December 2006 3 points for naming the chap with the black and white face. Is it Tommy Steele? Have you been watching Finian's Rainbow???!!! If it's not, it bloody looks like Tommy Steele.... *penny drops* ...it IS Tommy Steele! Well, I never felt more like cryin' all night 'cause everythin's wrong, and nothin' ain't right etc etc 'oh Leicester.....' If it's not Tommy Steele, I can assure everyone that I am ok, and I am in a reasonable state of mental health.

The People's Hero Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 It says hastily arranged but I think sadly, quite some time is being spent on this. Enjoyable nonetheless.
Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 It says hastily arranged but I think sadly, quite some time is being spent on this. Enjoyable nonetheless. I don't think it should be seen as sadly. I think we should rejoice. Tis Christmas! And I only have to work 4 more days this year!

Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Now that is rejoice worthy! Indeed! At this exact moment on Friday, I am free to make my way to the nearest pub! Which gives me a choice between the Marquis and the Landsdowne. One I think I shall have to spend most of the next 4 days thinking about. Hence, being unable to do any work.
The People's Hero Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Marquis for a few pints of the inevitably heavy christmas ale. Then on to Lansdowne providing they've resumed usual service wrt the Cherry Fizz.
Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Alas no. The Cherry Fizz is no more, and tis n'er to return! They have replaced it with some weird Liquroice All Sorts drink, but tis not the same! However, I suspect my Friday afternoon shall pan out much as you describe. The Marquis to start with with the guys from work, and then on to the landsdowne to meet Laura and her mates on the PGCE.

I have two further requests... Steve Agnew and Franck Rolling. What a pair of jokers!
