Simi Posted 26 December 2006 Posted 26 December 2006 My mum got me some new speakers for Christmas and they are really good...One problem all my mum can hear is the booming noise of the base downstairs...Any ideas on how to reduce the noise downstairs ? Do i raise them ? Rest them on something ? Thanks

Tommeh Posted 26 December 2006 Posted 26 December 2006 these christmas presents seen to cause more trouble than their worth especially amongst young people
Smudge Posted 26 December 2006 Posted 26 December 2006 The problem is that the base part of the sound has the shortest wavelength, therefore you will always hear the base over the mid and high frequencies. Not solveable without sound insulation. I agree, she will have to go
Collymore Posted 27 December 2006 Posted 27 December 2006 Bass is none directional so it won't matter where you put it. I have plenty of insulation underneath my carpet at home which works really well. I also have thick concrete walls which is a must as the thin cavity walls leave you with little option. http://www.buildingdesign.co.uk/facil-grou...stems/index.htm
