MC Prussian Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 Postponements hinder Birmingham Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has been left frustrated by the postponement of two League games, which he believes may have affected his side's promotion bid. The Championship's second-placed team had the 13 January home game against Leeds called off because of concerns over the newly-laid pitch. Saturday's game at Leicester was called off on safety grounds after high winds. "We're so frustrated because we got ourselves into a fantastic position," Bruce told BBC Five Live's Sportsweek. Bruce believes there are quite a few teams who could earn automatic promotion to the Premiership. "Derby are on a good run, West Brom and Southampton are also there and Sunderland are coming up the rails," he added. Regarding the top flight, former Old Trafford defender Bruce has tipped his former side to win the title. "I thought right from the start that Manchester United would be favourites to win the Premiership," he said. "The younger lads, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, are a little bit mature now. "They also have the player of the season, in my opinion, who is Paul Scholes and the team also have got a little bit of momentum going." Master Fox Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 by the 3rd Feb we'll have gone a month and 3 days without a home championship game I think that's not such a bad thing
Dr The Singh Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 All Steve Bruce ever does is moan, he's just one of life's moaners, I wish someone would shut his trap!!
lcfc_jme Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 His clubs own fault their game against Leeds was called off. Their pitch wasn't exactly the greatest! And the game against us got called off because of unfortunate events involving the Holiday Inn! We weren't to know! He should just stop his bloody moaning!
