Wright - Going no where

He ain't going to play him, so what's he going on about. We should send him out on loan and see how he does again. It's pointless him playing reserve team football week in week out. Craig's had enough chances to give Tommy a go but he refuses to. Now De Vries is here it's even less likely, he probably won't even appear as a sub on Saturday.

Your being a bit unfair and judgemental there Petrescu, for example maybe CL just doesn't think that TW with DC or JS is the right sort of partnership, maybe he thinks TW & MDV could be, maybe Scowies on his way out. There are all sorts of angles to consider when picking a team and being fair to one individual, is rightly way down the list.

Let's wait and see what evolves.

I agree - if things carry on as they are and Wright doesn't get any more first team action this season, then Wright is bound to have a word with Levein or put a transfer request in. How must it feel for Wright when he is watching a waster like Scowy performing rubbish every week and Wright can't even get on the bench most of the time.

I was hoping Wright would actually be going on loan because Levein isn't going to play him regular, so why not loan him out and give the lad some much needed experience .

With Blake and Benjamin unavailable, and Scowy maybe on his way out it leaves us with Conners, De Vries and Wright as the only out and out attackers... It's pretty obvious then, why he won't let him go yet.. And CL's comment also shows that he believes Wright can be useful, which undoubtedly must motivate Wright...

In the interview where CL stated Tommy wasn't going on loan, he also praised Tommy's attitude.

Remembering he wants to bring down the average age of the squad next season & he won't have a large budget maybe CL is assessing whether he can play a part next season & he can do that by close observation at the club

At least Levein has indicated he has a role to play. I'm sure he'll get a chance sooner or later as we're thin on the ground for strikers at the moment. However, saying that, I would have preferred him to go out on loan with a recall option.
