Fox in a Box Posted 14 January 2005 Posted 14 January 2005 Well, Not just a knee jerk reaction here, we voted on a new name 'leicester fosse' this was thrown out the door. Well we have had our current design for at least 12-15 years and well these things do get updated from time to time. See 70's fox and clubs See 80's white fox in circle (ind coope era) See 90's - current - Leicester city council type logo The arguement here is that Arsenal updated there logo to STOP bootleggers making money from selling poor quality goods. Well we are going through a stadium rebranding/sharing exercise wouldnt it be an worthwhile exercise to see what the 'FANS' viewpoint is on this. Just a thought...... So come on then
Guest Posted 14 January 2005 Posted 14 January 2005 I'm hoping that any rebranding/groundsharing exercise is currently being knocked on the head! As much as I love City, is there really a market for counterfeit merchandise in the same vein as there is for the more popular clubs? Are City really going to be making significant money by changing the badge? The so-called limited edition CL scarves are available still, so is it really worth rebranding the image? I know the Sky Blue Scum are looking at a new badge, but they'll be moving out of Highfield Road, and so these details can be changed without incurring too much of a cost, but there would be significant origination costs if we were to follow suit. I personally am happy with the current badge, but if somebody did come up with an eyecatching design I could be swayed!

Jonesy_rules Posted 14 January 2005 Posted 14 January 2005 I'd actually like to go back to one of the old ones, makes the club more individual than the CITY! has anyone got a picture of the kit from 1986?

Scow Posted 15 January 2005 Posted 15 January 2005 No thanks, keep the current one. I hate the look of new modern badges, it's so artificial.

stez Posted 15 January 2005 Posted 15 January 2005 if we do change it, i hope macey has nowt to do with it. it'd probably end up being a fosse beige tiger....... <_<
Katy Posted 15 January 2005 Posted 15 January 2005 if we do change it, i hope macey has nowt to do with it. it'd probably end up being a fosse beige tiger....... <_< 55009[/snapback] The badge we have at present pretty much sums up Leicester and the County as a whole. The Fox is traditional, with the Leicester City council badge in the background - perfect! Keep it as it is please - lets not keep changing things for changes sake!
Anish Posted 15 January 2005 Posted 15 January 2005 The logo is the best thing about the club at the moment! Keep it, it's great. Besides, it will cost a fortune to replace the glass City badge in the reception area.
Jordan Posted 15 January 2005 Posted 15 January 2005 I think City's current logo is fine, especially since they started using a different font for the lettering a few years ago.

I do like the badge we have at the mo though.
