Leicfox Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 That basically MM will be the new owner of LCFC, to which Milan gave a little wave to the fans.
City_4_Life Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Said something like Mandaric Will take over the club, And told the fans to give a him a good welcome. Then again i didnt quite hear it and he could of said something completely different.
Sly Posted 3 February 2007 Author Posted 3 February 2007 That basically MM will be the new owner of LCFC. ......they announced that? Must be about done then.
cisono Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 That basically MM will be the new owner of LCFC. When was that? Will this be repeated during the break?
Sly Posted 3 February 2007 Author Posted 3 February 2007 When was that? Will this be repeated during the break? No idea, I only caught the end of it on Radio Leicester.
Leicfox Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 ......they announced that? Must be about done then. Well not in them words but in a roundabout way. When was that? Will this be repeated during the break? Hopefully they will, as i had trouble hearing it too.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 He said next week MM shall be chairman. Sounds good.
Smudge Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 It was repeated in the highlights of the game before Kelly's interview. In Barber's view, for what it's worth, said that in no way would Birchenall have publicly announced that if it wasn't going to happen.

In Barber's view, for what it's worth, said that in no way would Birchenall have publicly announced that if it wasn't going to happen. Yep as you say there's no way on this earth he can say that on a pitch with 20,000 fans in the stands if its not going to happen. Happy Days.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Quite confident of success then, even though the shareholders have yet to vote? Let's hope so, anyway.
Simi Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Great news to finally have someone come out and tell us staight and not have to hear all the rubbish in the Mercury and what not.
Brainy Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 He said next week MM shall be chairman. Sounds good. I thought he was to be announced 3 weeks ago Not much pressure on him to complete it now though with the window shut.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 I thought he was to be announced 3 weeks ago Not much pressure on him to complete it now though with the window shut. Before the Birmingham game they said. We've yet to play Birmingham, so it's still on track.

lookwhaticando Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 A'hem.....remember.....this is Leicester City we are talking about I wont believe anything untill it is signed sealed and delivered Live dangerously for once.
davieG Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Just more hot air if we were a balloon we'd be to of the league by now.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Just more hot air if we were a balloon we'd be to of the league by now. Actually, if we were a balloon, the hot air would have caused us to burst open completely by now. Still on for the Birmingham match, though!
Daggers Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 That basically MM will be the new owner of LCFC, to which Milan gave a little wave to the fans. Nope - Milan wasn't out when that speech was made. And nope - that's not what was said... Said something like Mandaric Will take over the club. Nope. He said the board hoped that everything would be over by the middle of next week. Nothing was promised ~ and they can't because they can not control the shareholders voting. The positive is the Mandy was here and one can assume that means he brought the final final final bid document. Maybe the Trust will confirm this at some point?

He wasn't on the pitch but he did wave to all parts of the ground from the West Stand. He was the person not clapping when everyone else was.
Leicfox Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Thankyou. Thats what i heard on the radio. I thought i might of been going deaf for a minute, or RL just like to lie for the fun of it, which i would'nt put it past them.
lcfc_jme Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Couldn't quite hear Birch properly because everyone started cheering when he read out Milans name. Though I feel he said he hopes it will be over by next week based on how the shareholders vote. We desperately need him to be voted in by the shareholders - todays game shows just how much rebuilding this club needs. Poor.
Floating Fox Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Well done to everyone for getting the deal nearly done, MM got a fair reception from the leicester fans although I though the chants would catch on a bit more than they did.
