Fox in a Box Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Well It was gonna happen sooner rather than later. He was a genuine 150% player, not the most talented mined you, but he gave his all and his goals WERE invaluable for the promotion season that SAVED our club. Fox in a Box Posted 19 January 2005 Author Posted 19 January 2005 He was good for 1 game sunderland. 5-2 yes indeed a good player, just not for us and not in the gary lineker class

Colly was a rebel who whose ego was writing cheques his body couldn't cash. He was awsome at football and he knew it, I love him
Vardinhio Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 shhhh. This is a Trev thread Goodbye big guy. Everytime you put that blue shirt on you gave your best. That's good enough for me.

Mark Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Thanks for the 6 months during the Promotion season Trev, but that's all he gave us during his 5 year spell, so he can only be considered as a failure despite the effort he put in. Still, I'd prefer to see him up front rather than the likes of Dublin, Blake and Scowcroft.

He simply didn't have the talent to play for LCFC, like many other Peter Plank signings, and his wages were a joke. I bet when he's 60 odd and looking back at his life, he'll think how stupid LCFC were for giving him such high wages for such a long time.
Tomassi Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 he was the nicest pro aswel.. used to talk to him matchdays quite often! plus he sprayed me with promotion champagne when i got all the champagne out.. will treasure that moment forever

Jonbluefox9 Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Not when he was drawing 15k a week it wasn't. You can't doubt that he always gave his best so he couldn't have done anymore for his money could he? £15k or £15 a week he couldn't have put anymore effort in. He would've been a fool if he'd turned that contract down anyway.
Ricey Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Spoke to him outise the Walkers after the England game and he's a really nice bloke. He wasn't highly talented but when he came on he made things happen due to his work rate. It's not his fault he had a high wage so you can't blame him for that. Thanks Trev.
Ash Posted 20 January 2005 Posted 20 January 2005 Same here , id much rather him release Scowcroft. 56360[/snapback] Stupid , Scowcroft is better than Trev
kerryh Posted 20 January 2005 Posted 20 January 2005 Oh bless him, what an entertainer he was! Shame we didn't get to give him a send off!
