Thracian Posted 24 February 2007 Posted 24 February 2007 Well we sure as hell need two strikers at this club. Horsfield and Hume never looked like scoring and Hughes didn't want to enough.
Geo V Posted 24 February 2007 Posted 24 February 2007 Well we sure as hell need two strikers at this club. Horsfield and Hume never looked like scoring and Hughes didn't want to enough. Apart from Hume and the hope that Fryatt may come good, I would want to clear out the strikers including the loanees we have. One thing for certain though is if we are looking at what we want to keep as back-up strikers next season, it wouldnt be Dodds at this stage.
Milky Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 4 minutes into his first start and a goal! what a class act Cross by Glenn Murray (Rochdale), goal by Lewis Dodds (Rochdale) right-footed (low centre of goal) from right side of six-yard box (6 yards).Chester 0-1 Rochdale. Assist (cross) by Glenn Murray (Rochdale) from right by-line.
lcfc_jme Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 4 minutes into his first start and a goal! what a class act Thracian will be pleased. I look forward to seeing his gleeful post on here when he arrives. Well done to the lad - he's a real talent!
imagine that Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Great for him. It may give RK a kick up the back-side to open his eyes and see what talents the youth set-up holds.
lcfc_jme Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 it's only a league two tap in, but it's a start. At least he was in the right place at the right time in order to apply the finish and score from the tap-in.
lildave3 Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 That goal was for Thracian Seriously though, well done Louis
Wezleylowski Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Awesome, thought he was never gonna get in the squad. And to score thats just spaff worthy. woohoo thats some real good home grown sh@t
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 it's only a league two tap in, but it's a start. Quite. Annoying really that they have left it this long to play him, can't be long until he's due back Hopefully they might extend his loan. He needs to make a name for himself before his contract runs out.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 They'll be dancing in the streets of Ratby Hadn't noticed Stockport had re-called Le Fondre, that'd be why Louis's got in the team all of a sudden.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I can see a Billy Sharp situation happening with Dodds. It's a disgrace he hasn't been given even a 5-minute runout at the end of a game for us. We've been involved in so many meaningless games over the last three years and yet we've seen Connolly, de Vries, Hume, Fryatt, Odhiambo, Chambers, Blake, Scowcroft, Benjamin, Cadamarteri, Horsfield, Dublin, Hammond, Stefan Moore and God knows who else get a chance up front for the first team. It's got to the point now where I hope he leaves for his own sake. Either that or he gets his loan extended, scores some goals, a new manager comes in and he gets a chance. I can't see it somehow.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 even tommy wright got a couple of starts, and COG! Kinell. How could I forget those wasters, especially COG.
dandannieldanok Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Gordon Bennett he has only scored a tap-in.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Gordon Bennett he has only scored a tap-in. He's scored one goal in League Two! So?
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 So? So he's go awhile to go before he gets himself into Bill Sharps position!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 So he's go awhile to go before he gets himself into Bill Sharps position! Yes. Yes, he has.
MBK Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Quite. Annoying really that they have left it this long to play him, can't be long until he's due back Hopefully they might extend his loan. He needs to make a name for himself before his contract runs out. Why so someone elses signs him? Good thing is that Cadamateri seems on his way out so Dodds can take the opportunity.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Why so someone elses signs him? Good thing is that Cadamateri seems on his way out so Dodds can take the opportunity. Primarly yes, whether it's right or wrong I don't see him getting a chance here.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Not really <_< unless were going to sign everyone who has scored more League two goals than me. I'd be well up for that. Reason being...
MBK Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 Primarly yes, whether it's right or wrong I don't see him getting a chance here. You're right, and I have a gut feeling Weso will follow suit. These are the players we should cocoon. Oh well
