You can try the Gateway near the Royal Infirmary or the Counting House on Freemans Common.

If you arrive on the train with a lot of other fans there's a good chance you'll be kept together and taken by the cops over the road from the station to The Hind and then onto the ground. I tried to meet my mates off the train before the Wednesday match a while back and the police were having none of it.

At the Villa game we were meeting a mate at the station and the cops tried to put us in the escort with the Villa fans even though we had City shirts on :/

If you're coming on the train, as OBO says you will be forced into the Hind which will be 100% Baggie.

Trains will be a nightmare again, they were chaos last week, and police were searching and taking peoples details just if they had footie shirts on,

policing was well over the top last week and I'd probably expect the same this week

Didnt realise this was the baggies 1st visit to the walkers! It's about time too.

RMT strikes called off

22 February 2007

Central Trains this afternoon confirmed that following constructive discussions with the RMT yesterday, the planned strike action by Senior Conductors on Saturday 24th February has now been called off.

Operations Director, Andy Thomas said the decision by the RMT not to go ahead with the 24 hour strike will mean normal services for passengers,

"We are pleased that the strike action will not now go ahead. We always knew that constructive dialogue was the way to prevent disruption to our passengers.

"We are now in discussions with the union and next week we hope to complete those discussions and bring a conclusion to this long running dispute."
