OriginalRobboFOX Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 Why didnt they make it.... I loved em...... I miss em..
James. Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 I loved mine although I sat/fell on it within a week of buying about 7 years ago now. But it still works and I still listen to it. As far as I'm aware you can still buy blank discs and you can certainly buy players. Unsurprisingly though MP3 kind of shat all over its parade and now no one really needs them.
Joe. Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 To be fair it's hard to beat an MP3. So easy and so practical.
Nationwider Posted 22 February 2007 Posted 22 February 2007 I still use my Sony MZ R-90. Because I'm a big square. I've got a mini mic which turns it into a handy dictaphone too. Square also. Seriously though, it still looks great and sounds better than some MP3 players I've tried. A disc can hold a massive 75 mins of music, which is pretty fab!
lookwhaticando Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Nationwider. Never bothered with minidisc, so I don't feel the need to bitch about the fact my equipment is outdated (a common complaint around me, I'm afraid to say). I skipped from CD to MP3, which is what makes me undeniably cool.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 23 February 2007 Author Posted 23 February 2007 Sony should have pushed on with the Minidisc they could have had the whole Minidisc empire wrapped up between them and Sharp....
Ajax Treesdown Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 minidiscs..............sucked. cds.......................thats better.
Daggers Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 I love minidisks, they have funky colours. They're like the 90's version of coloured vinyl.
Number 6 Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 everyone who ever owned a mini-disc player (including myself) loved them, they were brilliant. I was reluctant to get an MP3 player for this reason but latest models, although looking awesome, were too complicated for me and too expensive for that matter.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 March 2007 Posted 1 March 2007 Why didnt they make it.... I loved em...... I miss em.. The invention of the MP3 format basically killed it!! But yeah, I used to record albums from the library onto Minidisc, now I'm finding that I'm buying the original CDs that I'd originally recorded and uploading them onto my iPod.
