Ric Flair Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 I have set up it's own topic for this week's festival. Quick access for the gamblers on here who want to keep up to date with any tips and how our fellow members are getting on. As I stated in the betting thread earlier, there is possibly money to be made in backing the qualifiers for Cheltenham. Plenty eventually become non-runners but if you back them on a no run/no fee option then you won't get stung. I will post on here the qualifiers when I find the definitive list and what race they are scheduled to race in. If I can find it, it was in yesterday's Racing Post. Amaretto Rose and Aran Concerto look like 2 very good horses in the first few days racing.
Head Honcho Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 There's normally an Irish winner a day at good odds and my tip for tomorrow is Orbit O'Gold in the 2.0 currently 20/1 so backing it each way.
Matt Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 My gaffer owns a horse thats racing at Cheltenham, and news came through today from the trainer he is in tip top condition and very likly contender to win, Odds were 279/1 end of January, 109/1 mid febuary, last night they were 59/1, this morning 33/1, midday 25/1, and they are currently 16/1 and dropping, so alot of people have heard and are obviously backing it. Imperial Commander - Wednesday - 2pm. I've got 2 pound on it in a syndicote at work but we opened a online account which would double what you put on, so in theory I have 4 pound, In total equalling 100 pound, which should the horse win give us about 200 poundish each, someone has worked out. And I have got 10 pound e/w myself. Also gone for; My Way De Solzen Detroit City Gaspara As a 2.50 e/w Treble.
The People's Hero Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 Haven't done my research. A nice winner would be handy to pay the bills though. As for whether I should be betting at all, well, shaddup!
The People's Hero Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 Right - here is mine. Ignoring the favourites, most of which I can't see past to be honest... Jayo in the 5.20. I'm on at 16/1. There will be something come in at decent odds. Something always does. Probably a lot of value to be had e/w if you've done your research.
The People's Hero Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 Considering Heez A Dreamer in the 4.00. Can someone who's off work today and knows what they're doing have a look at this horse and let us know. Looking at 20/1 on it e/w.
fox123 Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 My e/w lucky 15 2:00 De Valira @ 10/1 2:35 Jack The Giant @ 22/1 3:15 Straw Bear @ 7/1 4:00 Helltornic @ 16/1 Seen alot of e/w money for Straw Bear in the office this morning! Good Luck for the week

Looking at 20/1 on it e/w. Not the popular choise at the mo, its drifting with us from 16/1 into 22/1! Jockey to look out for this week is M A Fitzgerald, taken quite a bit on him for top Jockey and he generally does very well at Cheltenham

fox123 Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 Great Race that last, Detroit City didnt look like winning after the 2nd fence! Great result for the bookies!
