Maybes Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Is there much value in the laying market seen as its pretty much a lottery? Do fancy cork allstar in the last
Matt Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 My gaffer owns a horse thats racing at Cheltenham, and news came through today from the trainer he is in tip top condition and very likly contender to win, Odds were 279/1 end of January, 109/1 mid febuary, last night they were 59/1, this morning 33/1, midday 25/1, and they are currently 16/1 and dropping, so alot of people have heard and are obviously backing it. Imperial Commander - Wednesday - 2pm. I've got 2 pound on it in a syndicote at work but we opened a online account which would double what you put on, so in theory I have 4 pound, In total equalling 100 pound, which should the horse win give us about 200 poundish each, someone has worked out. And I have got 10 pound e/w myself. Also gone for; My Way De Solzen Detroit City Gaspara As a 2.50 e/w Treble. Not having a very good Cheltenham festival at all, last year I think I won around 50 quid, this year I have lost 25 quid, I'm not betting anymore till Friday I think. Was gutted yesterday Detroit City, the one I was least worried about fuked up, I thought it was My Way De Solzen or Gaspara would fook up for me but not it was the favorite which made me miss out of around 150 quid! Then today I lost 20 quid on my bosses bastard horse, which according to the trainer was "well up there"...I never even saw the bastard horse! Ain't got a clue where it finished but I know I ain't won any money from it! Oh well, Looks like it double or quits on Friday... But hey i'll be more postive on Friday and I will DEFINETLY have a winner and definetly win loads of money and every bet I have...well according to Cobbo's theory in a Leicester bet that fooked up a few weeks ago Somehow that hasn't quite worked so far this week

Maybes Posted 14 March 2007 Posted 14 March 2007 Niceone, nice return?? Had £2 e/w at 7/1 so i got a return of £21.50. Also had 50p e/w on according to john at 66/1 which placed so that got me around £9. Won £15 playing poker online so all in all not a bad day
Ric Flair Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 What's everyone fancying today. I've had a bit of a shit week so far. 2 winners and one each way place, leaves me about £50-60 down in total. Not good, but not that bad either. Could have been worse had Denman not pissed it. Anyway my early fancy's are as follows, not backed them yet. 2pm - Limited Edition 2.35pm - Our Vic 3.15pm - Mighty Man 4pm - Opera Mundi 4.40pm - Character Building or Blue Splash 5.20pm Adamant Approach or Material World I am going to have a small each way bet on Billyvoddan in the 2.35pm, Overstrand in the 3.15 and No Full in the 4pm

Ric Flair Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 or 2pm - Kings Advocate or New Little Bric 5.20pm Kadoun or Monolith Kadoun was a surprise winner last year was it not? I've read that it could be very difficult for it to win again, I mean how many back to back winners are there at Cheltenham in recent years? Perhaps it's time for one. I'll bear it in mind.

The People's Hero Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 That will be a lay for me! Probably quite big Who do you fancy to win that one mate? I personally can't see past BJK. Haven't backed it though as I don't think I've had a favourite win in about a year.
Head Honcho Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 That will be a lay for me! Probably quite big I'm not so sure this is going to lose! OK he had a mare(pardon the pun) last time out, but there's no doubting he's a class horse. My only reservation would be McCoy he has been pretty ordinary all meeting.

BJK won't like the fast pace set today and running against experienced campaigners, my win money would be on Mighty Man!
The People's Hero Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 BJK & MM reverse forecast then? Interesting!
Ric Flair Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 3.15 Black Jack Ketchum It's just gotta be.... ... hasn't it? A lot of the out right favourites are getting pissed on. Other than Denman, the short odds favourites have failed miserably. I suppose that's got to change at some point. There are some quality horses in that race though.
Ric Flair Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 BJK won't like the fast pace set today and running against experienced campaigners, my win money would be on Mighty Man! I've backed Mighty Man. Got a double on with Opera Mundi
Thracian Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 The only things I understand about horses is that mine always come last and women seem to love riding them!
fox123 Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 I've backed Mighty Man. Got a double on with Opera Mundi Mighty Mans a class act and a proven stayer over this distance, dont get me wrong so is BJK but his last run (when finishing 5th ending his unbeaten run) has given me nothing to think he will win
