its stupid, just plain stupid if you ask me tho.

basically a team like Chelsea or Liverpool would absolutely kill some teams in lower leagues and it takes out the fun.

if we were going to do it we'd have to bring in to extra leagues just to keep the number of games down in all other leagues other wise you could end up with 50 odd games in each league

My point is that football fans are quite happy to take things when it suits them but tell the story from a different angle and extend it a little bit and suddenly it's sacrilege. We'd all love Denilson on loan next season. And Armand Traore and maybe Aliadiere etc etc.

I don't believe in loans either, sure there are some plus points but it enables the big clubs to go out and buy up every promising youngster often at a pittance and to the detriment of the player and the lesser clubs and then use the lesser clubs to develop them and keep them fit through the loan system.

I think it also has a negative long term effect on these lesser clubs eroding loyalty and creating/increasing the here today gone tomorrow culture amongst footballers.

How can fans develop an affinity to a team with 4 or 5 loan players.

Give me a bunch of players who are prepared to sign a contract and to commit to LCFC.

I can identify with that to a degree but you have to keep up with the Joneses and it's fairly clear to see the benefit that loan players have given teams in the Championship this season. I think we'd be stupid not to focus our efforts on signing one or two players on loan next season that we wouldn't usually be in with a chance of signing permanently.
