An Interview With Robert Kelly

That's the thing lads, Nob Kelly isn't funny. What he's doing here is soul destroying.

I think the funniest bit of this thread is from Ultra. I am pleased it was created just so it's allowed Ultra to show us some of his sparkling repertoire.

The humour has served to relieve the frustration but what pains even more is the seeming acceptance by so many that we should somehow wait until the summer to regroup.

I just don't see it that way. There is so much that needs to be done and found out long before the summer signings are made.

Surely much of that needs to be cleared so the new team can be mostly put together and acclimatised before the pre-season programme gets under way. We don't want to make another faltering start to the season.

Good news for me would be someone of attacking mind like Newell walking through the door tomorrow morning.

Tell me about it! I don't like the fact that it's becoming clear that the players and management know there will be big changes in the summer and it's effecting them. It's not healthy for anyone.

Although we can't sign anyone now until the summer, there are things that we can do. Whether getting rid of Kelly right now would have a positive or a negative effect on the players remains to be seen, but he's got to go asap.

If he does stay, the only positive thing he could do is recognise where he's gone wrong and show some intention of improving. Perhaps looking at some youngsters who have excelled in our academy might help for a start. It might not help, but we've seen what the first team squad can do and it's not pretty.

Top piece and definitely cheered up my day. I've read it before but reading it again makes me laugh again lol

Keep up the good work and maybe write one regarding Rob Kelly getting interviewed after he'd been sacked? :P "Well, I said I was never going to resign." Would be so funny

If this piece had met even basic literacy standards it might have contained a semblance of humour and wit.

You are obviously to writing what RK is to management.

Must do better!

Your mini-user profile says you've supported City since the 60s, that would make you in your 40s? What makes me laugh is that you're an adult, along with most other people here and you are addicted to correcting people's mistakes. That is sad, one can only assume you were bullied as a youngster or that you have no friends so you try to take it out on people online... very sad to say the least.

You should try and be nice to people and, as you seem to be addicted, still want to point out people's grammatical errors then why not do it in a nice, pleasant way rather than making 'enemys'. But then again, a sad person like yourself probably gets kicks out of making online 'enemys'.

May I also point out that as you are so obsessed with grammar you should have wrote Robert Kelly's whole name rather than an abbreviation... idiot.

I see no benefit in tolerating the sort of crap Kelly's team has been producing. We cannot gain anything from his continued stewardship. Anyone would be a better gap fill until the end of the season. Preferably someone to knock the team into shape (fitness wise) and see who is really up for the fight.

Absolutely, i'd be tempted to go for Newell right now. Not the best manager in the world, but not the worst either. Or do we wait until the summer when more managers will be available?

It depends, Newell, is the "safe" bet, he is a reasonable manager, and surely better than Kelly.

But he may not be better than what becomes available in the summer. But they may not come to us, and then we would end up having a worse manager than before (although I doubt it)
