Webbo Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 some one's forgotten to put the foxestalk clock forward. EDIT; that's better.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 You guys went forward, we went back Two positives for me - an extra hour's sleep, and more reasonable kickoff times for the rest of the season.

lcfc_jme Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 I put my clock forward on my phone just before the kickoff of the England game. And I had a reasonable sleep as well, so I don't feel like I lost anything. Perfect.
stez Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 I put my clock forward on my phone just before the kickoff of the England game. And I had a reasonable sleep as well, so I don't feel like I lsot anything. Perfect. except for the 90 minutes you lost watch england 'play' 'football'
lcfc_jme Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 except for the 90 minutes you lost watch england 'play' 'football' Well there is always that. After I'd watched Ireland and Scotland win as well! It appears I lost the ability to spell properly as well.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 I got to bed and what I thought was 2 thinking "brilliant, 6 and a half hours sleep until I have to get up again". I noticed as I was turning my computer off that it was actually 3, 'mare.

The people who 'lose' sleep are the ones who get up at a set time every day. If you always wake up at 9am, when the clocks have gone forward you're actually getting up at 8am just that time. The solution is simple. Turn your clock forward the previous morning or afternoon - sometime during the day before the change, and spend the day thinking the clocks have already gone forward. Go to bed at the usual time and set your alarm for 9am as usual. Since your clocks have already changed in advance, you won't 'lose' the hour during the night when the clocks officially change, because you voluntarily gave it up during the day instead. Alternatives include going to bed an hour early to compensate, or wake up an hour later than usual (assuming you have that choice).

Lucky the alarm bell went off in my head or I'd still be in bed. I was up at night when my PC clock went from 1am to 2am. Hence I was reminded in time. Why don't we keep summer time all the time (so to speak)? Would be much easier...
Trumpet Posted 26 March 2007 Posted 26 March 2007 I love the first working day after the clocks go back/ forward.. always an excuse to say i didnt realise
