Daggers Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 The best detective in the history of television has to be Magnum PI. People say I have his manly ruggedness and all round charm with the ladies...and I have a helicopter in my back garden. And I drive a fancy-Dan sports car. Magnum PI ladies and gentlemen.

Magnum always worried me with that Tash he had and that Higgins dude always on the scene. I reckon he was more than his man friend. I`ll take a punt on Quincy ME. I know he wasnt a detective but a medical examiner/patholigist dude but full respect must go to someone who despite being about 60, would not only solve the crimes himself and stand up against all the baddies, he would actually shout at them with no fear and it was all ended by perversly pulling a beautiful woman in her 20s. It looked like grandad porking a Joss Stone.

Exceptional. However Dr Mark Sloan gets my vote. Again, he's not actually a detective, but my god he can do anything!! NASCAR driving, radio presenting, karate, magic tricks, tap dancing, rollerblading, instrument playing, saving lives to name but a few. And of course solve any crime put before him. He even served in the army!! What a hero.

Guest Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 How can Dempsey and Makepeace not get a mention? Two for the price of one, and all that jive.
davieG Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 A QUINN MARTIN PRODUCTION Frank Cannon Created by Quinn Martin and Edward Hume Television's FRANK CANNON was a tough, expensive, overweight PI with a taste for fine food and wine. A former cop, he quit the force after the tragic death of his wife and infant son in an automobile accident. Haunted by the incident, he's put all his energy and considerable weight into his new profession of private detective, eventually becoming well-known and well-respected among his peers, both public and private. Despite his bulk, though, he's no armchair detective, àla Nero Wolfe. He'll do his own legwork, thank you very much. He'd tool around town in his big ass Lincoln Continental, knocking on doors, taking down names, actually working his cases, unlike some TV dicks. He was a shrewd investigator, dedicated, clever and not afraid of getting physical if he had to.

The Doc was an all round entertainer though who was comical and would sing to the sick kids in the hospital which should count for something. BTW Ive decided to change my mind as mine wasnt really a real dic, more of a dildo. I`ll go for this fella instead...

Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Magnet and Steel - Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere. That's been driving me mad for 10 minutes.

A fearless man of principles, a crusader! It was refreshing to see/watch, but I hadn't noticed that he was pulling young women
Daggers Posted 28 March 2007 Author Posted 28 March 2007 (I don't see the point of moustaches) Do you have a clitoris?
