lildave3 Posted 30 April 2007 Posted 30 April 2007 Mark Selby of Leicester reached the quarter finals tonight with one of his best displays by defeating Peter Ebdon 13-8. He now faces Ali Carter in the last 8. Cmon Leicester Good old Selby, brilliantly done. My tip would possibly be Higgins though. Obviously i'm not counting Ronnie...
isaidno Posted 1 May 2007 Posted 1 May 2007 Selby is Currently world no. 28 , Ali Carter is world no.15 . Come on Selby ! The match starts at 2.30 pm today
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 May 2007 Posted 1 May 2007 Selby is Currently world no. 28 , Ali Carter is world no.15 . Come on Selby ! The match starts at 2.30 pm today I think Selby will be get into the top 16 after this tournament even if he loses to Ali Carter.
lildave3 Posted 1 May 2007 Posted 1 May 2007 Just been watching Murphy's match, that could go right to the wire. Murphy did brilliantly to get it back to 4-4 though.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 May 2007 Posted 1 May 2007 Selby should be at least 3-1 up, if not 4-0 against Carter going into the interval. 2-2 is disappointing considering the chances he had.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 I have to say I've seen some Matthew Stevens collapses in my time but if he loses this next frame to Shaun Murphy (12-12 final frame about to start) this will be the worst. Not only has been totally out played after leading 11-5 going into this session, he has had absloutley tons of chances to win the match over the last four frames and bottled the lot.

Murphy has come out on fire for this last frame too...
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 Fckued that last shot though, not that it matters, I don't think Matthew could manager a break over 15 at the minute.
lildave3 Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 Fckued that last shot though, not that it matters, I don't think Matthew could manager a break over 15 at the minute. Fantastic achievement to come back from 11-5 down though. Does the winner of this face Selby/Carter in the semis?
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 Fantastic achievement to come back from 11-5 down though. Does the winner of this face Selby/Carter in the semis? Yes I think so. Looks like Murphy has it. Matthew Stevens has bottled it again.
lildave3 Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 Yes I think so.Looks like Murphy has it. Matthew Stevens has bottled it again. And Murphy takes it. This has been a brilliant tournament so far, so many quality players. Selby's 2nd session is at 2:30.
Tevez Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 Maguire has been the dark horse of the tournament. He has improved alot in this tournament alot as has Mark Selby, its hard to pick a winner.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 May 2007 Posted 2 May 2007 Selby is now losing 6-5, Carter got a break of 144! 12-12 came down to to check the final score and I'm now sat watching a fram of snooker, can't believe they're still going. And i was hoping for a early night, 13-12 Selby, well done lad

Its a shame that O`Sullivan got knocked out but there are still some quality players left so it should make for a good end to the tourney.
dandannieldanok Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Just minutes now until Murphy-Selby first session, come on Mark!
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 Just minutes now until Murphy-Selby first session, come on Mark! He looks nervois as ****.
C-man Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 5-3 after the first session is excellent for Selby. Seeing as he was shite, to go in only 2 frames down is great
Geo V Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 One of the best bands to come out of England BTW, come on Selby!!!!!
Bert Posted 3 May 2007 Posted 3 May 2007 To be fair as much as i'm biased to Mark, Shaun Murphy was playing some excellent snooker. At 5-1 down Mark, could've collapsed, but he hung in there and 5-3 is good for him. Definetly catchable.
Guest Gist Posted 5 May 2007 Posted 5 May 2007 Higgins is in the final after coming from 10-14 down to win 17-15.
