Scunny scouting report

Going to see the mighty Billy Sharp in action tomorrow afternoon. Northampton are safe and I got my ticket for a tenner so I'm going to keep an eye on him all game instead of following the ball. Will report back.

He won't come here anyway, we will be swapping leagues next season

Decent finish for the goal, made a run across the defender to the near post and sidefooted a low cross into the corner of the net.

Didn't do a lot else. I noticed after he scored he was gesturing at the home fans and then straight after the restart he put in a bit of a nasty tackle, think he got booked. He basically lost it for a second.

His movement off the ball is decent but it's always away from the ball so the pass has to be perfect. Scunny really weren't on their game today so the passes weren't reaching him. He's got a really good touch though, reminds me a little bit of Fryatt but much quicker. Lacks a bit of body strength though.

Would score 20+ in the Championship easy.

Good report Fez

But the questions were all asking is:

1) how much will he be available for?

2) How many will he score in the Prem?

I reckon it would take a good £2.5million to get him now. Bit of a crazy price. As for the Prem, difficult to say really. I watch a lot of Championship and League One football and I agree with most people when they say he could make the step up easily but the Premiership is a whole different kettle of fish. Elvis Hammond would get 15 goals in League One.

I can't see 2.5m. I know you watched him today but smaller clubs like S****horpe usually settle for fee's like 500k-1m.

But if hes better, then maybe a higher fee.

Not a prayer he'll go for less than £1.5million. Virtually guaranteed themselves Championship football next season and they've already sold Keogh.

If Southend can turn down over a million for Eastwood then Scunny can certainly do the same with Sharp.

Steve Howard cost Derby around £1million and he's a lot older than Sharp.

Sounds promising but unless Leicester get proper creative talent in midfield, the section in bold worries me that if we were lucky enough to bag him, he will not get the goals.

I would love to see Billy Sharp here next season. He's a natural goal scorer and has achieved it regularly now for Scunny.

Should they go up, he might not want to join us but I doubt that :dunno:

We'll have the money, it's just a case of S****horpe accepting a bid which is highyl unlikely seeing as they've already rejected Premiership offers.
