Stevosevic Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I'm surprised Miller is still there. I'd have got rid of anyone who had anything to do with the Levein/Kelly regimes. In fact, there was a telling part of an interview with NW which seemed to suggest to me that Miller was here as he knew the players and would probably help NW to learn their characters etc. At which point he'll be sacked. yes, Nige said that he was pleased Miller was kind enough to stay on to help us to the end of the season, he wont be here next season.
Hullfox Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Personally I don't rate Miller much as a coach but Worthington's said he's been very useful, therefore any shock inclusions will likely be down to Miller's word. Is that based on results alone?
London_Fox Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Bring in the youngsters. What's the worst that could happen? Playing in our non-existent reserve league and not getting into such a poorly performing side is hardly going to do their confidence the world of good anyway. On the whole i'd back them to play without fear and hopefully shame some of the more experienced pros into a performance. For Wortho it's a great way to try and make the job permament if he wan'ts it. Bring in youngsters, keep us up and talk about using local talent etc. Fans love all that stuff and it seems that if he does well and is popular MM won't get rid.

We could lose all five games and get relegated.

Wortho's just doing the sensible thing, he's assessing what city have interms of players. Obviously Miller has given him some insight on King and others. I would be surprised if wortho makes wholesome changes, he wouldn't want to rock the boat!!!
Thracian Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 If Andy King does play before the end of the season (and I stress if) then you can bet Miller rates him, as he will clearly be the bloke behind it. And if he has been in Rob Kelly ear saying such things and getting ignored then that does not show Rob Kelly in a very good light at all.I again stress if. You might be right but it might also have been Beaglehole. After all it must be quite nice managing a team that sits at the top of a League during City's present predicament. And one that scores goals by the bagful.

Considering out recent results I wish he'd scuttle the sodding boat and get a new one.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 Hughes must be on his way out, even if he was injured, you would surely turn to the new manager's first important training session.

London_Fox Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 We could lose all five games and get relegated. As opposed to now? When the same could happen. At least some new players (and i'm not advocating an entirely new XI) might freshen things up, make people fight, give the crowd a life and change the general attitude around the club at the moment. I only heard it on the radio but from that and other reports I don't get the impression things could get much worse then last game...

And as I've said plenty of times of course it could of been worse. These players will only have the effects you've mentioned if they are good enough, which unless you've seen the likes of Gradel and King play you can't make the call that they are good enough for Championship football, your just taking a stab in the dark as your fed up with losing and want an alternative even if you don't know what it is. Looks like we may see Andy King get a go from the bench on Saturday anyway, if Hughes and Tiatto are both definatley out that leaves Jarret who Wortho has fallen out with, Johnson Weso and King.
