lcfc_jme Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Anyone play?Home games? Which online sites? Im a keen poker player and i just wondered if anyone also has a love for the game.. Been covered a fair few times. I'm a player on Poker Stars. A few others on the forum also use the same site. I also must state that I enjoy watching Daniel Negreanu play poker, he's always very entertaining, but I'd much rather watch Phil Hellmuth - his temper and reaction to bad beats is absolute comedy genius!!!
Unabomber Posted 26 April 2007 Author Posted 26 April 2007 Yeah youre right he's right funny to watch, Americans don't like him mind. Sorry bout the thread i haven't on here too long and haven't seen a poker thread. I play on fulltilt and skypoker.com.
Maybes Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 I play on pacific. Been the casino before in a 45 seat multi and came joint first thats my best win live.

I play on fulltilt and skypoker.com. Americans get to see him all the time and I can understand why they'd get fed up of him after a while. I just appreciate watching him lose his temper at any chance I get 'cos it doesn't happen much on TV here to the best of my knowledge. What's fulltilt like? I know some of the best on the circuit use it, but I haven't ventured over there yet myself.
Unabomber Posted 26 April 2007 Author Posted 26 April 2007 Itsa good site, i mainly play short handed sit n go's as i find it easy to make a good profit, they offer many medium stake sit n go's. There also offer alot of really cheap buy in tourny's, so yeah its a good site, and once every so often you can play in tourny's that pro's are in. Sky poker is good because tbh the competition is pretty poor, so that's worth a punt.

Unabomber Posted 26 April 2007 Author Posted 26 April 2007 Is Fulltilt a site or one you download unsure.gif Well it is a site but you download the software from the site, it's worth getting.
potter3 Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Well it is a site but you download the software from the site, it's worth getting. Yeah I thought so, I did download it, I'm sure I've still got it.
New England Fox Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 Im "UberCoolHSM" on both Stars and Full Tilt, feel free to watch my donkish play anytime im online
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 i play on ladbrokes, the river is usually pretty suspect though.
Rincewind Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 been playing on poker stars a while. I'm beating the other players but not the rake. I try not to play like a fish but they outnumber me so anyone at the table can 'river' me with any two cards. I'm told that in the long run they will lose. I have just joined interoker. Not played enough to access it. Started to play freerolls on PP. Came 77th in one last night. won 30c. came second in a few sag's. and even won a couple. I have one or two sites downloaded but not deposited money in all of them.
Unabomber Posted 27 April 2007 Author Posted 27 April 2007 Fulltilt is abit of a nightmare regarding the money as you have to use a secure online depositing site, as you cannot withdraw money back onto a card. That's why I recommend Skypoker as you can withdraw money on to your card whenever you like, and its full of fish tbh.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 My mate won $10000 at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January, bastard.
Geo V Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 I have quite a few accounts set up but the main one I use is William Hill for sit and goes and maybe play one multi-table event a day with guaranteed prize money of £4k and above. I started a thread when I joined to maybe do a private comp amongst us with a firm but there wasnt that many interested I play live at Gutshot, Rivercard and also a few casinos like Luton and the Vic and in January gave up a very good job as a retail manager to try and make a living on the poker tables. My problem is discipline when playing online because I end up backing everything from the horses to the cartton races inbetween Its all good fun and touch wood going well and depending on what happens in the next few weeks I should be going out to Vegas for a couple of months on tour . I`ll be back skint no doubt.
Unabomber Posted 27 April 2007 Author Posted 27 April 2007 Yeah it is difficult to control discipline sometimes while playing online, there are few distractions to say the least, especially if your playing a low buyin 1000 entrant multi table. That's why i concentrate on the sit n go's I would sure be interested in setting up something. Shouldn't be hard now poker is growing commercially extremely quickly nowadays.
Tommeh Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 I play quite a lot, best when its round a mates for a good few hours but online is ok too. I'm sometimes on pokerstars bit boring though using play-money. Watch it some nights on challenge too the best player is Antonio Esfandiari. Fact.

Despite my name i think that Gus Hansen is the best player atm, although closely followed by Kid poker.

I'm sometimes on pokerstars bit boring though using play-money. Watch it some nights on challenge too the best player is Antonio Esfandiari. Fact. No the Magician is not the best at all. As I've already stated, Daniel Negreanu is always a good player to have at the table if you're looking for fun. Phil Hellmuth is entertaining as fock when he suffers a bad beat. I also think players like Phil Ivey and Todd Brunson are hard to read and are the proverbial dark horses when it comes to tournaments.
Tommeh Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 Despite my name i think that Gus Hansen is the best player atm, although closely followed by Kid poker. love watching Gus play, remember seeing a few weeks back when he took out all 4 players going all in every hand and winnig every hand and in 16 hands he had won I meant to say Antonio is my favoutite player, its all pretty close between the best of them Chan's still brilliant, Madusow never shuts up but know when to play and Negraneu, Hellmuth, Freddy Deeb and Joe Hasham are all quality.

What about Dave the Devilfish Ulliot and Greg Fossilman Raymer???? Purely for Dave's name and Greg's glasses.
Unabomber Posted 27 April 2007 Author Posted 27 April 2007 I like devilfish because he is English, i also like the Hendon mob, and yeah Phil Ivey is a real top class player
Alexikokopops Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 I should really get back on the poker. My housemate's $7000 up for the past three days, bastard.
