discojoe Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 if you could sign DJ on loan would you? megson wants to get rid of him, well so it says on skysports. He was reported to be goin hull!!!!!
breadandcheese Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 I never thought he was a terrible player. For the sake of a loan signing, may not be terrible. Someone to challenge Scowie, Connolly and De Vries. He scored plenty of goals for Ipswich and indeed Forest, so think it wouldn't be a terruble proposition. Plus, nothing could be sweeter than listening seeing him banging in the goals whilst Forest fans look on. But can't see Forest letting us take him on loan
Scow Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 He's been unfit and out of form this season for Forest. I don't think he would add much to our squad to be honest.
Wellman Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 I feel he would be like Nathan Blake all over again , so do we want that again?
Matt Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 if you could sign DJ on loan would you? megson wants to get rid of him, well so it says on skysports. He was reported to be goin hull!!!!! 62057 Peter Taylor wants him do I need to say anymore?!
stez Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 it takes 'dj' forever to get into his stride scoring-wise then just as he hits form he gets injured, usually major injuries. so thats a no for me
breadandcheese Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 Looks like I'm on my own with thinking it wouldn't be the most terrible thing. How about this little argument to sway you. We could loan him out and then send him back after 2 or 3 weeks. That would a) stop Peter Taylor getting a player he wants and B) piss forest off (just when they thought they'd got rid of a troublemaker from the wage bill, he returns to cause more problems for Megson) I think that is a truly cunning plan

Ash Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 If he can't do a job at Forest , what makes you think he will do a job here ?
Bedford Fox Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 had a good goal scoring record in his carrer but is at the end of his carrer and wont be a great loss!
Nationwider Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 if you could sign DJ on loan would you? 62057 Another striker to keep poor old Tommy Wright out of the first eleven? No thanks. The fella's got to get a chance some time.

Ditto Stearman and Dawson?

Ditto Stearman and Dawson? 62234 Levein has said that he's been impressed with Tommy Wright's attitude and doesn't want to send him out on loan because it's better for him to be training with the first team and being there-or-there abouts on matchdays. I think he still has a future with the club but he'll have to start impressing Levein quickly if he wants to get a chance in the first team.
Anish Posted 2 February 2005 Posted 2 February 2005 I'm sure Levein was impressed with Trev Benji's attitude, but that didn't stop him from offloading him. I honestly don't think Wright has a future at LCFC after the signing of De Vries.

I honestly don't think Wright has a future at LCFC after the signing of De Vries. 62337 De Vries has been very injury prone, so I wouldn't bet against Wright getting a chance. Although on the face of it, it looks like Wright won't make it. I can't say I've ever been overly impressed with him. He does seem to be a good finisher, but his general all round doesn't seem up to it. He looks too lightweight and doesn't hold up the ball well enough. He's not blessed with plenty of pace either.

Arguably he hasn't had a chance, but at the same time he hasn't shone in the reserves either. I'm not getting at you...just stating the facts. By all means, If you think I'm wrong tell me.
