Benji Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 someone else please tell me you can't get on the HSBC website I've just had an email from eBay saying the direct debit was rejected and they have slapped a £5 fee on my account for it. Now there is no way in hell I can't afford £10, and the details have all worked in the past, so i try to get a HSBC number to sort it and the whole uk website is down. Coincidence? If this is a fk up on their side i'll be switching all my savings and in-use money straight away and demanding the money back. Just what I need with exams round the corner.

lookwhaticando Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 The hsbc.co.uk website tells me it's presently unavailable. Dunno if that's any help to you... I don't have an account with them, so I can't try to log in or anything.

Benji Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 yer that's what i get cheers It's just annoying because it can be the only reason why the direct will have bounced. And now if it doesn't hurry up i'll probably get charged more fees for further late payment. And there is no way i'm calling the helpdesk just to spend more money on their non-english speaking idiots than i will reclaim. The fools in my local islington branch are no better.
Benji Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 I can get on the site now just started working plenty of money on the account, direct debits all existing other than eBay, the only one to have charged anything today, grr
stez Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 just started workingplenty of money on the account, direct debits all existing other than eBay, the only one to have charged anything today, grr you should set up a new account when your bill is due. i wouldn't condone this, or do it myself....................
Benji Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 problem sorted I used to use eBay and sell things on which my account was registered. However, i stopped for about a year and the direct debit cancelled. Knowing this when i started again recently I went to my personal details and updated it all (even though the informaiton was the same) however it decided not to save over the old details. They have taken back the administration charge at least still, arsewipes
Trumpet Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 you should set up a new account when your bill is due. i wouldn't condone this, or do it myself.................... I was refused an eBay direct debir, so i told my bank to decline any direct debits from them. 2 months later after loads of e-mails i had credit collectors on my ass asking for £76, i paid Wasn't a smart move by me

HSBC decided to close my overdraft without telling me because they decided I didn't live in Lincolnshire anymore. I got home to my house in Lincolnshire to find a letter from the Metropolitan Collection Service saying I had 14 days to pay back £977.01 or I was going to court. THE fooking METROPOLITAN COLLECTION SERVICE KNEW WHERE I LIVED, DICKHEADS!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
