Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 What a f**king electronic dictatorship these bastards are. Put 55p (55p!!!!!!! I still live in 1996, I expect chocolate bars to be 30p and crisps to be 25p) in. Chocolate bar stops on the edge. What can you do?! NOTHING. YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING. THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT WORKS. YOU'RE A FOOL FOR EVEN TRYING IT. THE CANTEEN IS CLOSED. THE LADY ON RECEPTION THINKS SOMEHOW THAT BOOKING 15 BUSINESSMEN INTO A MEETING ROOM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ME HAVING A TWIX. THE F**KER!! What sort of world do we live in these days? Is this not a democracy? How can these things be allowed to happen?!?!?!

Daggers Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I eat carrots. You don't get those from no dodgy vending machine. I once lost my wallet in a field though - does that count?

Something a stupid bastard has done once and blamed on an inanimate object a la the rest of this thread?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 I'm just trying to empathise with you technologically-challenged numbnuts I wouldn't advertise being outwitted by a field. At least vending machines have brains. Right?
Trumpet Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I have a vending tale i wish to share. I popped my 50 pence piece in as you do, with my eyes on a twix also. Got to the edge. No further did the twix go. Theyre built like houses too and must weigh a ton (Not the twix, the vending machine). This was at work. I asked someone who looked of some authority as to what i should do to claim the twix, i rightly deserved. "No-one has access to the key at the moment, you'll have to ask someone in personnel, tommorow" - I was not in tommorow So there you have it, robbed. Although to be fair the union has done a good job of kreeping the prices in the canteen down, 30p for a twix etc. isn't all too bad.

I feel your pain, Mr Twix may as well have been 1p or £5million, he was not in your possession after parting with your sterling. So, in conclusion. Vending machines. Rubbish.

Vending machines. Rubbish. agreed, except for the cheese and ham toastie vending machine in the leicester general circa 2003 they are gorgeous, and the machine hardly ever robs your tokens
potter3 Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Except the one at some train station, it didn't come out and the money was refunded, so when the money was put back in again two packets of crisps came out
Bryn Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 The vending machines in the gym at school pwn, they're those ones where the things inside are on like a turntable and you press arrows and the chocolate bar comes into the gap so you can take it out... but if you stop with half of two boxes in the gap you can take two chocolate bars out for the price of one. The proles strike back.
Trumpet Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 And, some vending machines dont give change! You normally notice the small print after the b*****ds took your shiny £2 coin!
Daggers Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 So, in conclusion. Vending machines. Rubbish. Yea. and fields

We have those at work, but i daren't use them as they look far too complex for me and i wouldn't want to make a show of it with a full canteen
Alexikokopops Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I have a tale of woe. I was at Birmingham New Street Station, and felt like a Galaxy bar (extravagant, I know). To my delight I found one of those vending machines designed for fizzy drinks where the receiving bit actually rises to meet the level your drink is on, so it isn't shaken by the fall. To my surprise the intelligent people of New Street had stocked this with chocolate as well. Everyone was happy... or so I though. After parting with about £7 for my Galaxy dream I watched in anticipation as the machine did its work, only to recoil in horror as the Galaxy fell in between the receiving bit that rises and where all the tasty treats are, to a place I can only dream of. I had to get on my train to Leamington staring wistfully at the Galaxy that never was.

Bryn Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Well the gym is a public facility but just on school land with the school having free access to it (for parting with the land I assume). So it doesn't count. I love the genious of this new healthy option thing though. At school (I keep saying school, I'm actually in sixth form) the canteen says you can't just buy chips, you have to buy a meal to have chips. So you're alright to have the fooking burger as well but chips solo is a nono.
Daggers Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I was at Birmingham New Street Station, and felt like a Galaxy bar Freud would have a field day with you.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 Foxestalk really is getting back to something approaching its zenith.

Daggers Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Foxestalk really is getting back to something approaching its zenith. That better not be in a field...or even be a field itself...because if it is then I'm not coming.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Foxestalk really is getting back to something approaching its zenith. Have you ever noticed zenith rhymes with Kennith? Coincidence?
