Mort Posted 21 May 2007 Posted 21 May 2007 I’m in no way worried that we’ve “missed out†on either Varney or Iwelumo, neither were players I was deserpate to see here or though could do a “job†for us next season, then again there’s always going to be an element of him being “localâ€, but then again what has he actually done to suggest either that he’s worth £2mil(!) or that he’d make it as an established striker at this level… let alone the prem! Having said that, I hope we get the management situation sorted fast because there are players we could be missing out on thanks to the limbo we’ve found ourselves in… the one good bit of news regarding this Charlton announcement is that Jarvis isn’t mentioned and he is a player I’d be very interested in getting, at the same time some of the players going on frees are worth considering as well.
