Jonno Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 Makin's signed a one year contract today. Good player imo. Will wear number 12 shirt.

Mark Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 Micky has suprised me recently. Connolly, Williams and Gudjonsson are players i never thought we'd end up signing and he's pulled it off. 3 signing there i am delighted about. Add to that Dublin who i'm sure will do well and Makin at right back, just one thing though Micky, if you sorted your obsesssion with Scowcroft out we could run away with the league! Walker Makin Heath Keown Tiatto Canero Williams Gudjonsson Stewart Connolly Dublin Yes please
Jonno Posted 29 July 2004 Author Posted 29 July 2004 Swap Stewart with Wilcox and Canero with Scowcroft and you've got our starting XI You know what, I'm happy for Wilcox to start, he's been fine in pre-season and got more assists than anyone else. Scowcroft is the only one who I really don't want near that team.

Mark Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 Swap Stewart with Wilcox and Canero with Scowcroft and you've got our starting XI I dont want to
Oli Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 I have just came online and saw we had signed gudjohnnson i can't believe it chuffed to bits. What a team we will have now.
Benji Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 WalkerMakin Heath Keown Tiatto Canero Williams Gudjonsson Stewart Connolly Dublin Yes please to be fair that was the team i had down as my best but only with nalis instead of gudjonsson but only because obviously we've only just signed joey but then scowy (mark) went and spoilt my plan by reminding me of the whole scowcroft obsession
Ash Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 Makin is a solid defender , who do mind putting in hard tackles , Reminds me of a younger Frank Sinclair
Ricey Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 Makin is a good player and I'm sure he will be a solid player for us next season, he has to prove himself again though.
gagandeep Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 Swap Stewart with Wilcox and Canero with Scowcroft and you've got our starting XI I dont want to canero is better then scowy, but i think that canero will play rb and scowy mr. with makin there to cover for anyone that gets injured. we do have a lot of choice now. its a selection headache for micky.
Guest Guest Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 I'm pleased with this one too. Can play both right and left back, should be very useful.

Mark Posted 29 July 2004 Posted 29 July 2004 I talked to an Ipswich fan and he said Makin was his favourite player, he's an extremely reliable right back. Sounds good

Sounds good Well from seeing him play i think he was right Just dont turn out like Curtis Already it's clear the Curtis isn't half the player Makin is. Makin impressed me greatly yesterday. He read the game very well, cut out alot of attaacks and looked very quick which suprised me.

Hullfox Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 Didn't impress me against Barnsley but I am pleased that people are talking him up. I am willing to have my mind changed about him.
Guest Daniel Posted 2 August 2004 Posted 2 August 2004 I was expecting aload of shit in Makin but yesterday i think he played pretty well and was no way the worst player on the pitch, i hope he can continue to prove me wrong.

That's what I was thinking, explain gagandeep. yes, i think so. all the team defended badly then. makin could of intrcepted a ball easily but it just hit him an it went to a mallorca player then the ball came into the box and the player was fouled. i'll have to see the goal again to explain propereley cos sab tv showed no replays, but my instinct was it was makins mistake that lead to the ball going into the box.
