davieG Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Why 4-5-1? Is there something written in stone saying Crouch must play as a single striker?? I would have played the team McClaren is playing now im a 4-4-2 with Crouch partnering Owen. I meant with Smith in the team, hence the reference to not scoring many goals.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 I meant with Smith in the team, hence the reference to not scoring many goals. Ok, misinterpretation on my behalf , and yes with Smith we are basically playing 4-5-1 like you said. I'm not Crouch's biggest fan but I would certainly perfer him to Smith.
lildave3 Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 How quick did Robinho get up when they took the free kick then?? It was a miracle. <_<

I can't think of any English forwards in that mould. ...and am I the only person that thinks Wayne Rooney is overated?

Or both :w00t:

However I'm not denying the fact that he is Englands best striker at this moment in time.
Sly Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Get Teddy back in.Or Sir Les. Or both :w00t: Stop being silly. Lets bring Gary Lineker and Bobby Charlton on at half time.
Sly Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 No, I think he is too. However I'm not denying the fact that he is Englands best striker at this moment in time. Says a lot about the rest of our forwards in my opinion.

davieG Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Are those a load of empty seats again or do they just have long drinks breaks. Bloody shame because i tried to get one and couldn't. Wembley a stadium for the rich and connected, fook the real fans. Apologies for the language but it pisses me off.

dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Beckham is god Seriously though cracking delivery David.
Leicfox Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Beckham is god Seriously though cracking delivery David. He's been one of the better players tonight thats for sure. I think with him not being captain has lifted a huge weight of his shoulders with the way he plays, time will tell though.
DB11 Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Dont forget England blaming the poor playing surface for their defeat The Head Groundsman is from Leicester isn't he? Well he is but I dunno where I found out.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 The Head Groundsman is from Leicester isn't he? Well he is but I dunno where I found out. Please tell me you're joking, the pitch is a disgrace, how embarassing
Father Ted Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Why is Smith playing ahead of Crouch? Because our manager is Mclaren, not Sven anymore. Thats one advantage with Sven he played crouch ahead of Smith who can't even get into his club's starting line-up. And where is Owen Hargreaves. Gary Neville injured?

Hargreaves got a knock lately didn't he? Or is suspended... or both. Injured I think, hence not being in the squad at all. Neville is injured. Hargreaves was ruled out with a knee injury.
