JoeyB Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 88,945 attendance! not bad, actually thats ace! if it was for that continental bit it would be full!!!
Father Ted Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Jenas on? EXACTLY, even if we are missing Hargreaves, Neville and Rooney still no excuses even if we do manage to hold onto the lead because the team selection is DIABOLICAL! no more to be said
dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 What were you doing Brown?Take your time It's no good teling him, he is shit. Fact. The only player I would not play instead of him is Phil Neville.
JoeyB Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 If McLaren had any sense instead of dropping Beckham (which i was favorable for) he should now drop lampard. Seeing as he dropped Beckham and he came back more determined than ever, dropping Lampard Or Gerrard might hopefully do the same, so they know there not always first choice, if you know what i mean!!
Brainy Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 This might sound a silly question.. How are players getting injured after the season is over? I know Neville has been injured before the season ended, same with a few others, but how has Ferdinand got himself injured?
dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 They deserved the equaliser and probably a winner too.

They don't sit at home drinking cups of tea & coffee, resting and then have a walk down Wembley when its 2 hours before kick off! They all train together, talk tactics etc....
lookwhaticando Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Current ratings on the player rater @ the beeb: Robinson 6.15 Carragher 6.01 Terry 6.98 King 5.95 Shorey 6.31 Beckham 7.76 Gerrard 7.55 Lampard 4.84 Cole 6.08 Smith 5.06 Owen 6.32 Brown 4.29 Carrick 5.07 Jenas 4.79 Dyer 5.89 Downing 5.97 Crouch 5.46 Lampard took one hell of a beating in the ratings. Again.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Largely feable going forward, we need Stevie G driving through the midfield. Hopeful half punts up to Smith did my head in tonight, that fella marking him couldn't have had an easier game in his life! He was so tight on him all night he could have had his jolly rancher up Smithys colon and no one would have known!!
Tommeh Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Did alright I think, great to see Beckham back and you always got the feeling he would produce something, shame about the late equaliser but that just showed how much we missed Terry and when that goal went in the levels of experience at international level in our team was tiny bar Gerrard and carragher maybe. Though Gerrard was brilliant in the holding role demonstrating that he can just about play anywhere, just a shame Lampard seemed to try and follow him instead of getting forward and that was the main problem. Gerrard was keeping Kaka and at times Ronaldinho quiet whereas Lampard was hovering around doing naff all giving Gilberto Silva a field day. Thought Shorey also had a very solid game, as did Dyer when he came on, I'd expect him to start in Estonia.

Tommeh Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Are those a load of empty seats again or do they just have long drinks breaks. Bloody shame because i tried to get one and couldn't.Wembley a stadium for the rich and connected, fook the real fans. Apologies for the language but it pisses me off. Agreed DavieG it makes me personally sick thinking all those people with £x millions who have brought club wembley seats for the odd game in 10 years and probably can't make this one as their relaxing on the boat in the Carrabian. Wembley and even the FA (not sure how much of a role they play in this) have to take a long look at themselves because this is unacceptable.

It is a bloody disgrace - as is the pathetic number of tickets available to real fans for major cup finals etc.
Daggers Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 It provokes bad language. It is a bloody disgrace - as is the pathetic number of tickets available to real fans for major cup finals etc. There were spare seats to be bought - so those empty ones you're on about hardly kept die-hard fans away. There were about 15-odd alone around the section I was in.
Jay Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Lampard should have been dropped ages ago you obviously can't earn enough money from Playing for England with that being his number 1 priority he probably doesn't want to play anyway.

My lad and I have been trying to get tickets for the last month and were informed that they were all sold, he managed to go in the end when a mate dropped out of a group piss up in London.
Webbo Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Can any one find the stats for last nights game? I'd have thought England shaded possession but I'd like to know for sure.

Maybe the people that should have been in the seats then were stuck trying to find a place to park in Stanmore?
brookfox Posted 2 June 2007 Posted 2 June 2007 Only one thing to add, what on Earth does Jenas add to the England squad?! Have to say I don't rate him at all, never played well when I've seen him (plus he's an ex-tree!). Sven's biggest mistake wasn't taking Walcott to the World Cup, it was taking him instead of another striker. Get rid!!

Again. Thought Ledley King was solid for us last night, if anything in the first half Carragher looked uncomfortable at full back everytime someone ran at him. Agree with Lampards mark, bag of shite, is Owen Hargreaves fit yet?
