Joe. Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 A slightly makeshift defence should still be able to cope I think. Terry and Carragher more than capable and should be first choice centre backs for me. Despite the full backs we have, the central partnership is still fine so I think we'll be OK. If Beckham has a good game tonight, the papers will go wild for him and slate McLaren to the moon and back for leaving him out in the first place. Brazil playing some newbies too Link I'm going for a 1-1 draw.
Dames Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Were gunna get tanked. Expect a typical lazy england performance.
lcfc_jme Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 TV? Sky Sports 1 I presume? Can somebody set me straight please...
Daggers Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 TV? Sky Sports 1 I presume? Can somebody set me straight please... Available to Sky Digital customers ONLY
Webbo Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 TV? Sky Sports 1 I presume? Can somebody set me straight please... It's on the BBC 7.30(kick off 8.00) Come on England.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 I expect a score draw mainly due to Brazil excellent ability in attack and poor ability in defence.
BartonFox Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 England 1-0 and suddenly the Euro Championships are back on
lcfc_jme Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Available to Sky Digital customers ONLY <_< It's on the BBC 7.30(kick off 8.00)Come on England. Thanks for that. Think I'll settle down with some nice alcoholic beverages and watch this in the comfort of my own armchair.
Daggers Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Yea - it's my fault for reading "* Match available to Sky Digital customers only" as meaning the match would only be available for customers of Sky Digital only. Stupid me.

Durnerz Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 A predicted 4-5-1 formation from McCraplen today, lovely.
Joe. Posted 1 June 2007 Author Posted 1 June 2007 So no Neville as I thought there would be Team News Looking like: Robinson Carragher Terry King Shorey Beckham Gerrard Lampard Cole Owen Smith
lookwhaticando Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 So no Neville as I thought there would be Apparently Neville is being rested for Estonia... along with Bridge. I hope Carragher has a stormer and keeps McClaren's lovechild out. Though I'd rather have Carragher in the middle. What is it with McClaren and square objects in round holes? Can't complain too much about the front six... but it'll no doubt go tits up with Lampard and Gerrard in the middle. As Barton said... true to form, we'll beat one of the big boys in a friendly, and suddenly we're gonna win the Euro's.
Joe. Posted 1 June 2007 Author Posted 1 June 2007 I hope Brown has a stormer and keeps McClaren's lovechild out. I think Carragher's playing right back and Ledley King's going to partner Terry in the middle
lookwhaticando Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 I think Carragher's playing right back and Ledley King's going to partner Terry in the middle You'll notice my sneaky edit (a minute or two after I posted). Yesterday it was suggested that it was Brown/Shorey in full-back positions... now it's Carragher/Shorey. Wish he'd make his bloody mind up... useless red-faced wankshaft. Honestly. I was hoping for Brown - Carragher - Terry - Shorey, anyway.
Simi Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Fair play to Nicky Shorey. He's delayed his wedding for this.
hairy Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Its bound to be a nil nil boring affair. Cant even be arsed to watch it. I shall mow the lawn instead.
Leicfox Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Its bound to be a nil nil boring affair. Cant even be arsed to watch it. I shall mow the lawn instead. Im hoping for a great game, and think England could actually get a mullering.
Ozwin Posted 1 June 2007 Posted 1 June 2007 Friendlys are always hyped up to the max, usually a 45min-hour huild up and then Gary Linekar and Alan Hanson will laugh at how boring the first half was and say something along the lines of "We've tried to pick out some highlights for you...*Snigger*" as they usually do. Then the second half will consist of one goal, usually by the opposition at around 75 minutes and the final whistle comes too quickly for England to do anything about the situation they're in. Papers tommorow; "McClaren out!" , "Becks return sparks no luck" , "Is this what to expect from Wembley from now on?" etc Overall it'll have been a waste of 90 something minutes and we'll all be on here depressed and angry at how crap McClaren is yet again. All of us will moan at how we should have got Big Phil when we had the chance and blardy blar. Mark my words.
