Leonisco Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Not to bad then I suppose. It was a bit of a guess, really, if you want to be sure check their website.
Wils Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Being cup i would think we will get more than they would give normally.
Floating Fox Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Being cup i would think we will get more than they would give normally. Nope. This is the league cup, not FA. We'll get The Terrare behind the goal which is 1500. They dont usually give any seats either, they might do though

Floating Fox Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Same rules on away allocations isn't it? We gave Villa 5,000 for the League Cup match last season. That was the club's choice.
Wils Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Same rules on away allocations isn't it? We gave Villa 5,000 for the League Cup match last season. I thought it was a percentage of the ground you had to give?
Leonisco Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 I thought it was a percentage of the ground you had to give? Yeah it is, normally for league games we give the away team 3,200 tickets, but cup rules state you must give 15% of your capacity to the away side, so any team who comes here in the cup gets 4,800 tickets.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Conference team, watched my local team Exeter play them a couple of months back, they were incredibly poor, Exeter won 3-0. should be an easy win for us, but then again i dont like saying that when it comes to leicester because we will probably under-estimate them and scrape a win. how can they be a conference team in the LEAGUE CUP u burk, there clearly in League 2
potter3 Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 how can they be a conference team in the LEAGUE CUP u burk, there clearly in League 2 Think he meant they were conference standard.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Think he meant they were conference standard. sorry got the wrong end of the stick my bad!!
Brainy Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Can somebody smell something? Or is just the sh!t that Walkers is typing? It must be disturbing when people post shit in your thread, eh?
filbertway Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 It must be disturbing when people post shit in your thread, eh? You had a 50% chance of getting it right. Next bit of inside info, we are going to beat accrington, it's all been set up so we win.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Don't have time to read all thread, but are their terraces at Accrington?
potter3 Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Don't have time to read all thread, but are their terraces at Accrington? Yeah, and it's open
shrood Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Can't Wait! I f**king love a run down serious on a Tuesday evening. It's what it's all about.
Head Honcho Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Sod traipsing all the way up to Accrington. I'll go and watch Cardiff v Brighton
Thracian Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 I will be going.Would have preferred a shorter trip for my birthday, but it's a new ground to visit and that should ensure a more than healthy visiting turnout. A similar trip (Bury) attracted 1500 City fans a couple of years back and we should be looking for at least a four-figure support this time around, especially if it's Allen's first away game. As for the outcome, this shouldn't really be in doubt. Allen will know what needs to be done and should ensure that whatever side he puts out will be up to the task. It's not much to ask for - if Levein and Kelly could see off this level of opposition there is no reason why Allen shouldn't do likewise. I'd have thought you'd know better with your experience - and never make assumptions about football results. It's not so long ago we got walloped by Wycombe so the first thing we'll need is the right attitude.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 so the first thing we'll need is the right attitude. Allen should make sure we have that, I trust him there, but I'm not so trusting in other aspects.

Thracian Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 It was only 2-1 wasn't it That's a walloping in my book against that level of opposition. As in taking a severe blow to the team's pride and the club's anticipated income.
Ultra Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 I'd have thought you'd know better with your experience - and never make assumptions about football results. It's not so long ago we got walloped by Wycombe so the first thing we'll need is the right attitude. Having witnessed the horror show against Wycombe (& Harlow before that), I know only too well that shocks can and do happen. But Accrington are a poor Div. 4 team. Even allowing for the possibility they may raise their game against higher standard opposition we should still have too much class for them. Allen will not want a humiliating defeat (which would be one of the worst in this club's history) to occur so early on his watch, and so will ensure a professional approach among whatever team he puts out. Having faced Accrington last season, it's also reasonable to assume he'll be prepared for them, far more so than T****r was for Wycombe. As I said, if Levein and Kelly could avoid embarassment, so should the current incumbent.
Thracian Posted 14 June 2007 Posted 14 June 2007 I'm inclined to believe you to be honest. But not if we end up with all the Golden Oldies we're linked with, cos the team'll be more at home in a stage coach than a team coach and then it'll take three days to get to Accrington! Even worse if we've been run ragged by Grayson's greyhounds on the Saturday and our confidence is rattled.
