Daggers Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Did anyone expect a tie down South? The draw is split onto Northern and Southern sections...Walsall was as good as it was ever going to get as far as travelling goes (for me)
Wilkesy Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Hmmmm accrington on a tuesday/wednesday night. Any takers?Me bert and wilkesy will be going! You can drive Maybes
Zingari Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 North Lancashire about 130miles from Leicester - Route Planner says bout 2hr30mins that'll be about 5 hours then
Vacamion Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Accrington is a suburb of Blackburn. I thought Blackburn (the town) was a dump until I went to Accrington. It really is grim.
Zingari Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Did anyone expect a tie down South? The draw is split onto Northern and Southern sections...Walsall was as good as it was ever going to get as far as travelling goes (for me) i wonder who drew the line across the country ; shrewsbury ( north of us ) are playing colchester (south of us) so if we are in the northern lot how come shrewsbury are with the south
Maybes Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 You can drive Maybes Will take a full tank which costs £35. Be alright if 4 of us go.
Wilkesy Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Will take a full tank which costs £35. Be alright if 4 of us go. Yes. Me, U, n Bert. Anyone else fancy a ride in Maybes' passion wagon?

Maybes Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Yes. Me, U, n Bert. Anyone else fancy a ride in Maybes' passion wagon? I prefer the wagon of luuurve
Wilkesy Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 i wonder who drew the line across the country ; shrewsbury ( north of us ) are playing colchester (south of us) so if we are in the northern lot how come shrewsbury are with the south Theres a couple of strange ones: West Bromwich Albion v AFC Bournemouth Peterborough United v Southampton But i suppose theres probably more Northern than Southern ???
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Right then, Isle of Wight to Accrington! 4 hours 37 minutes on the roads, 1 hour on the ferry. That's 11 hours and 14 minutes travelling there and back, assuming no snarl-ups. 274 miles each way - about £70 fuel plus £50 ferry plus ticket. Errrrrrr - I won't be going
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Did anyone expect a tie down South? The draw is split onto Northern and Southern sections...Walsall was as good as it was ever going to get as far as travelling goes (for me) And presume this was done to save traveling time, and yet we have to travel for two and a half hours.
Sods Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 I cant wait for this game, should be quality atmosphere. The stanley ultras are going to feel the force of the BLUE ARMY, should be a quality night like hereford. Fooking standing!!!
Wilkesy Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Accrington Stanley's ground holds 5,057 (1,200 seated) so we will be on the terraces Oh and Alan Rogers plays for them i think ?
MC Prussian Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Where the hell is accrington? i watched them at Exeter but i have no idea where the hell they are based? anyone know? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accrington_Stanley
Daggers Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Why not consider making a short-break of it? "There is a sizeable shopping area and precinct in Accrington, with a selection of major chain stores such as Marks and Spencer, JJB Sports and Boots." Sound interesting? You betcha! Remember though, that is not all there is to Accrington. Oh no. "There is now a regular bus service from Accrington to Manchester, via Haslingden." Whets the appetite doesn't it? Just imagine waking up in the comfortable splendour of a Tourist Board graded guest-house (Guest are reminded that all rooms must be vacated by 09:30) and gazing out of the window at the spectacle that is the A56 dual carriageway. I tell you, I'm going online to Accrington Holidays right now
Thracian Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 Erf, Accringtons a long way to go on a Tuesday night. No further than Burnley and the game can surely be no worse.
The Stig Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 I don't know why but I like Accrington Stanley. Even though I couldn't name one player, their manager or where Accrington is.
Sods Posted 13 June 2007 Posted 13 June 2007 I don't know why but I like Accrington Stanley. Even though I couldn't name one player, their manager or where Accrington is. BOKO is their best player
