Chelve84 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Don't Know whether MA will put a drinking ban into place, but it certainly hasn't happened yet!!! Went town last night and seen Alan Sheenan, James Weso, and Richard Stearman and they were all s**t faced. What do you think to this and do you think a drinking ban will come in once they start pre-season?

Im not exactly an insider but it'll probably 'come in force' beginning of pre season.
Bert Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 It's not even pre season. So who cares if their out. There pretty much out after every game they played during the season anyway.

Let the buggers enjoy themselves while they can, after all they are on holiday. But if i ever see the fcuckers out and about after a game...especially if they've lost...i'll kill 'em!!! Actually i know for a fact the players(of last season anyway!!!) liked the odd drink!
Tommeh Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Nothing wrong with it now, I imagine a few will be on holiday anyway, so no problems but once pre seasons starts I'd expect harsher rules from MA than what they had with RK.

Yeah. During pre-season i think they shouldn't be out until the first game of the season. Also, if there out after a match then i'm sure that they all deserve to be out.
Tomassi Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 jeez even football players are allowed to have a drink surely?
Sparky Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 nothing better for team spirit than a good piss up every now any again . ask walsh / tags / elliotts view on it and im sure they would agree
escape2victory Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 If they win the game on the saturday then fair enough otherwise no way jose. They also shouldnt be seen out in pubs / clubs etc after wednesday evenings, regardless. Just some of the ground rules I would use

LCFC players haven't had any cause to celebrate anything in the last few years have they (Unless avoiding relegation on a yearly basis is!)

Footballers have a life, maybe some of the fans might need to aswel...?
potter3 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 This is their holiday, training doesn't start for another 2 weeks at least.
BartonFox Posted 18 June 2007 Posted 18 June 2007 I bumped in to them while on their bender. no probs and Allen doesn't care unless it's in season,
Chelve84 Posted 18 June 2007 Author Posted 18 June 2007 im not saying anything is wrong with it, but other people were saying there should be a drinking ban, and i was just highlighting that i don't think 1 has been brought in yet! I spoke to them and weso and stearman just got back from australia, and weso looks like he has put some pud on. ha ha.

As long as they don't slap a drinking ban on the fans, mind you I don't think my liver can cope with many more seasons like the last few!

DB11 Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 The season hasn't even started yet... they are still on holiday so what is the problem?
Guest Posted 19 June 2007 Posted 19 June 2007 Looking at it from a different perspective, these guys are paid stupid amounts of money to play sport; surely it would be in their best interest to keep themselves in tip-top condition? NB: Lisa is officially playing Devil's Advocate.
