Tubes Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Black and white? looks good for Derby! nothing looks good for derby
Master Fox Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 The tracksuit is an integral part of building any successful football team, my favoured choice is ‘the boiler suit’ very good at keeping your body insulated on cold winter Saturday afternoons sitting on the bench.
Dames Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 The girl who models looks like shes been sucking a lemon before every picture shes in.

Sure Levi will have fun finding out.
lookwhaticando Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 I can't remember any complaints in the last two years when the training gear was available in a shade of grey (Silver 05/06, Platinum 06/07) and Navy. I'm pretty sure we don't play in Navy... or Grey for that matter. Are we all moaning about training gear colour because we don't have other things to moan about this year - lack of funds, ambition, direction, leadership, etc...
FNQ Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Im sorry, but im truly staggered by this. What on earth was the thinking behind it? And to think back to the storm that brewed at the very thought of a few green seats at the walkers.

Guest Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 The colour of the tracksuit is vital, it's our identity they're messing with. Vive la revolution. Or whatever.
Joe. Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 I can't believe it's 45 quid But I am a sap, and I will still buy it...
davieG Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 This - I hate! Strong word - strong feelings. Now this is the wrong shade of blue...err...black??? So what do we think? Grower or Growler? Looks like their standard off the shelf design but different coulours - link
Kent Fox Posted 23 June 2007 Author Posted 23 June 2007 Looks like their standard off the shelf design but different coulours - link From that link I see they do this 'standard' tracky in Royal/Navy/White or Royal/Navy/Yellow. Either of these could well be more suitable to the club than BLACK Unless MA pops in some black flowers on the training pitch, of course
lookwhaticando Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Why the fierce objection to black? The training kit as worn by players/coaches last season was Silver or Navy. Neither of which is a club colour. Navy is a shade of blue, of course, so probably less objectionable... but still. When the club had those player signing sessions, the players all wore the platinum grey polo shirts. Surely that's as objectionable as them wearing black on the training pitches? Of course, if you were ranting and raving at the grey/silver we've had for the last two seasons, then fair enough.
Kent Fox Posted 23 June 2007 Author Posted 23 June 2007 I don't like black kit. Referees wear black. Lino's wear black. Nuff said! In the great colour wheel / matching thingymabob, silver GOES with blue - almost any blue. Navy also goes with any other shade of blue. Black is not even classed as a colour FFS! And on a vain note, I don't look good in black!
Macdaddy Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Personally I'm glad, black is slimming! I like black it's how it washes that I'm worried about. It'll probably be grey by the time we play colchester.

city1993 Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 If it was not black, what colour would you have then ?
Macdaddy Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 That'll make a few people happy Yeah, I was being ironic. And by that I don't mean that I wonder how it irons! It's the same as the kit, it won't fit properly anyway. It doesn't even fit the models properly. The trousers look like they've been sprayed on 'san tropez' style. Have you seen the female model's face in the picture. I think her kit has got an added extra
Kent Fox Posted 24 June 2007 Author Posted 24 June 2007 If it was not black, what colour would you have then ? Based on the assumption that the track suit is an extension of our kit and/or identity and/or overall corporate look, the tracky would have to be blue. Royal might be a bit too much but a darker shade perhaps Just not black! At a long push, if the white bits were gold, it might - might look better. I just don't think that this is appropriate for us - Newcastle, yes. Not us!
