I went down to the training ground on Saturday to see if there were any noticeable changes. Apart from the main gate being blue when I think it used to be be green, a couple of LCFC badges stuck on the doors that you go through when entering the reception and some purpley coloured flowers there's now a barrier which I don't think was there before, or at least was never used, to control who enters and leaves the training ground. I think there will be more strict rules on spectators etc from now on.

Do the players actually wear the training gear on sale to the public or what?

Stupid question but I'm bored! :P

I give in do they :P

Barton has already said that the groupie element would be stopped from this season...and fair enough, if girls aren't going to come and cheer and wave at me while I am writing then no one else should get the pleasure.

Seriously, it is a place of business - if they can all get down and focus this season then we'll all be happier in the long run.

Really thought something would happen today. Maybe it still will.

It's just rained. Again. :dunno:

Yeah I read that at the time. I don't disagree with your point but it seemed Allen had a different view when he was at Brentford towards spectators at training. From that interview he did that someone found on the Internet it sounded like he didn't mind people watching training as long as that's all they did, although we're a different club so he might have different ideas now.

Well... in the all the pre-season picture specials from last year, the players were spotted in their Navy training kit while the coaches wore the Grey kit - the same kit sold to the customers for large wads of cash.

So... either it's the norm for players to wear the same training kit... or it's a bloody good marketing ploy by the club to try and encourage people to spend more of their money. Although being seen in the same gear worn by Andy Johnson and Josh Low probably put off a lot of people last year.

Doubt it, that was a Craig Levein thing.

It made him feel that little bit nearer to Scotland.
