MON Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 I heard it mentioned that Scowcroft has a clause in his contracts-whcih states he has to play in every game. I didn't take it seriously when it was said. But now I am begining to think that it might be true.
Carlo Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Utter Rubbish, No manager would allow that sort of influence of his team
Hoof Fox Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Dont believe that one, if it were true I think CL would have maybe negotiated a similar deal to Keowns and Benji, it will be interesting to see what happens when the likes of Tiatto and Williams return to full fitness, I would imagine Slowcroft will end up on the bench at best. IMO the current board and manager probably expected Scowy to move on in the January transfer window and are now left with a big earner, who is playing poorly and has no sell on value and little motivation, CL wont continue with Scowy unless he is forced to like yesterday.

Mark Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Can someone give me a reason as to why he plays every game then in whatever position is available?
Ash Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Can someone give me a reason as to why he plays every game then in whatever position is available? 66205 I wish i could mate
Hoof Fox Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Because he is versatile and can play in a variety of positions ..............badly!
Guest Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 I've suggested the clause in jest, but I can't think of a logical explanation for why he gets in the side week in, week out.

Remember last season, we were on a 6 match unbeaten run and scowy had been suspended. He came back into the side that lost against leeds.

shack Posted 14 February 2005 Posted 14 February 2005 You can get contracts like that though 66170 'tis true, Connoley had a contract when he was at West Ham that he had to start every game.
Wellman Posted 14 February 2005 Posted 14 February 2005 SCOWY'S GONE NOW!!!!!!! Well till the end of the season <_<
Ric Flair Posted 14 February 2005 Posted 14 February 2005 Levein has gone up in my estimation, I feckin love the guy now. Taking no shit, getting rid of all the crap the fans could blatantly see were bad players and signing younger players. Whether they are all scottish or not, he knows what he wants and won't stop at anything till he gets to where he wants to get. Pleasing to see. I wouldn't be surprised if Gemmill, Makin and Dion leave this week.

Makin is alright as back-up, as Canero seems to be injured/forgotten. Gemmil will go later this month, or maybe sooner.

Now **** off Makin, and Dion.
Wellman Posted 14 February 2005 Posted 14 February 2005 Nah keep Dion till the end of the season. After all he was frigging captain on saturday!!!

Very unlikely, and Canero has played left back before, for Kilmarnock.
