Daggers Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Perlease! On bended knee. Stop the pubescents from making accounts and starting bullshit threads about player comings and goings. Make them wait until they have posted 50 or 100 posts.
Kent Fox Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Thirded and fourthed. Can I do that? Also, if they do not have any capital letters in their name, or can't spell. Or use correct English and Grammar.
AoWW Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Also, if they do not have any capital letters in their name, or can't spell. Fifthed (I don't have any capital letters in my name... I don't have gaps either... and I should have an apostrophe - but I don't. ) *feels inadequate* I can turn it into a correctly capitalised acronym though - does that let me off the hook? AoWW
lookwhaticando Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Also, if they do not have any capital letters in their name, or can't spell.Or use correct English and Grammar. Thank god I've already got a few posts under my belt.

AoWW Now AoWW is fine. (Apart from the not forgiving me and choosing TPH to do the TVR holiday thing....) And you can spell.
Kent Fox Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Thank god I've already got a few posts under my belt. Oh, but you are a mighty moderator and that doesn't fall into Dagger' initial post.
The People's Hero Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 There should be some kind of entrance exam so that these idiots can't get in. A couple of questions about Leicester City Football Club and who might/might not be a realistic signing test perhaps?
Kent Fox Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 There should be some kind of entrance exam so that these idiots can't get in.A couple of questions about Leicester City Football Club and who might/might not be a realistic signing test perhaps? 1. How do you spell Leicester City Football Club? 2. Who should LCFC sign next? a) Thierry Henry b) Ronaldo c) Todorov
potter3 Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Thirded and fourthed. Can I do that? Also, if they do not have any capital letters in their name, or can't spell. Or use correct English and Grammar. Does a number count
Kent Fox Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Does a number count A number is fine. Ok - getting a bit bored now. I'll change the capital letter thing. But I am not letting the spelling thing go. OK????
AoWW Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 1. How do you spell Leicester City Football Club?2. Who should LCFC sign next? a) Thierry Henry b) Ronaldo c) Todorov Ah ha... I feel on safe ground with setting questions. Can I add a few of my own? (Nicely differentiated to assess all levels of ability!) 3. Select the correct spelling: Neilsen / Nielsen / Kneelson (multiple choice so suitable for lower ability) 4. Which county is Leicester City Football Club located in? (muppet-dom level) 5. Add the apostrophes in the correct places: its (it is); ill (I will); cant (can not); players wages ( the wages of more than one player); TPHs floral shirt (the shirt belongs to TPH); Daggers sense of humour (the sense of humour that is, uniquely, possessed by Daggers) (covers the full spectrum of abilities and highlights the gifted and talented) 6. Briefly explain the offside rule (defines gender, e.g. separates the girls from the boys) (oops!)

AoWW Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 How did I do, Miss?? Hah, everyone will just assume you're right now. But have you got 100%? I might let on later if I'm feeling kind... though I should really get you to delete your answers so some of the plebs can have a go unaided! Reason for edit: KF - you're a star... I'll let you know later!

lookwhaticando Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Quite funny, actually... I suspected the starter of this topic to be a member I was talking to earlier, who happened to raise the issue just minutes before this topic appeared. His view was that a topic posting ban would be for the good of the new posters themselves, too - since they invariably get abused by the natives for posting new topics.

lookwhaticando Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 i'm with you Good to know. --- Oh, and it wasn't the topic starter (Daggers) that raised the second point - but a third user who has not yet seen this topic.

There are a lot of topics in there. Had to re-read that a few times and now I think I understand. As for new posters getting abused, that will only happen when they write a load of bull! I was a new poster not so long ago and have yet to be abused (cue abuse). And most of what I post is bull. Disguised as something else.
