Contact lenses. How impossible is it to put them on first time round. Been nearly 2 hours and apart from feeling like a dipstick, I have no patience left. Therefore venting my anger online.

I've been thinking about that myself, it always says ''from'' £400 per eye. What does it cost, if you don't mind me asking?

i understand by the ads on tv that it can be done for around 400 per eye ; which is a lot less than i paid about 5 years ago

( it was on the day that england would have played in the semi final of the world cup 2002 but were knocked out by brazil in the quarters) i got a late cancellation so i did not have time to worry about it

i paid close to £1500 in total which included my travel to harley st (maxivision) and a night in the local holiday inn (just around the corner) for me and my wife ; and all the aftercare

i'm sure its cheaper now and probably improved techniques; i have really good vision now for someone my age ( mid fifties)

and had no bother at all

ps it really is quite painless but it can be unnerrving

I got contacts about a year or so back. They're a pain in the arse to start with, but once you get used to them you'll be able to get them both in in a couple of minutes.

Good luck

I couldn't possibly let unqualified people on my eyes, then again £50 is quite cheap.

I felt the same when I had to put mine in first, about 2 years ago, but it some becomes second nature! It'll only take a few weeks....

Amazingly, you are now the third person to have posted in the wrong thread by mistake.

I believe you wanted the Animal Sex: Is it natural and how do I do it? thread

Very very witty indeed - well done! :worship: (not to sound patronising in any way  )

If you think putting them in is tricky, you wanna try taking them out when you've had the odd drink or three. :nono::frusty:

On more than a few occasions I've given up in sheer frustration and desperation and slept in them... which is all fine and dandy until you wake up in the morning with the hangover from hell and eyes that feel like they're single-handedly trying to emulate the Sahara! :pinch:

I don't even need a mirror to put mine in.

That's probably common actually. :unsure::whistle:

All I've done is taken a funny thing that Knighton Matt once said and keep changing the punchline on a weekly basis, over and over.

Next week I'll be doing the same thing with a post by MBK only the punchline will read:

"I would, but I have run out of butter and the vicar is watching."

You see, people will be in fits. :dunno:

I'm so desperately sad - help me, I can't go on like this

I love pathos.

I would recommend it. Best thing I've ever done.

Says a lot, really....
