Zingari Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 I can tell you don't read his posts often! actually i do and don't always agree with what he says but thats not the point really , but i think it would be a loss to the forum if he stopped posting because of some quite hurtful remarks he seems to endure , there are many posters on here that really irritate me but its easy enough just to ignore them . the strange thing is the ones that irritate me never seem to attract the ridicule i think they deserve
Thracian Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 ok so 0 is relative to the non exsistant average manager. What are you points relative to and on what scale? I mean you have down as +10 already and to make that makes him a ****ing good manager, he's not even been in charge for a game yet competitvie or otherwise! it's based around your opinion, it's pointless!!!!If you start quoting that bloody quote system as a reason for sacking him I'll go spare you do relise this!! Be cool MP. I'd say +10 reflects quite well the improved mood of optimism since Allen's arrival. He seems to have balanced his signings quite well so far in terms of youth and experience. And there have been plenty of them, some quite interesting. His general communication has been positively refreshing compared to Kelly's, he's clearly had some personal impact on the place and there's every indication that more signings are imminent. Last close season was like walking along a Fenland road. Flat and unexciting.
DB11 Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 He must have done a good job for MA at MK Dons then if he's decided to bring him to LCFC with him. And he's a Midfielder
Leonisco Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 Statisticians have been measuring all sorts of aspects of footballing performance for years and whole web sites are devoted to their findings. Statistics are a load of bollocks. Fact.
Simon Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 Not sure I can comment on this signing- I just don't know that much about the kid. Bit concerned that as a Premiership youngster he wasn't good enough to secure a League one or Championship loan, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 I'm in two minds about this... On one hand, he's young, and Allen must see the potential in him, and Reading have produced some quality players. On the other, he's a bit of an unknown quantity having only played a handful of games in League Two (albeit quite a few for a nineteen year old), and I'd have rather seen us go for someone like Shane Long . Is anyone else really neutral on this purchase?
lookwhaticando Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 Statistics are a load of bollocks. Fact. Lies, damn lies and Statistics. I should know. A positive signing in my opinion - young, something to prove, and a winger. +3 Settle down, I was only joking.
Webbo Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 .Is anyone else really neutral on this purchase? Me, never heard of him.
Leonisco Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 A positive signing in my opinion - young, something to prove, and a winger. Only problem is, he's a left-winger when we need to strengthen the right.
Joe. Posted 4 July 2007 Posted 4 July 2007 Only problem is, he's a left-winger when we need to strengthen the right. Well to be honest, the left side is an issue too And with kaebi hopefully coming in we'll have a right midfielder soon...
