andyh1884 Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 I was there, thought it was fantastic, Foo Fighters & Kasabian were superb. Corinne Bailey Rae was awful
lildave3 Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 Didn't watch any of it. T in The Park was much better. That did look quality.
Simi Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 Didn't watch any of it. T in The Park was much better. I watched the Arctic Monkeys do their set, which was good.
Guest Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 We just said we were there for the music, and werent paying to go just because of the whole save the climate thing!! Same here. Although, by the time we got to the turnstiles, they were handing out the standing wristbands to anyone and everyone, regardless of their ticket. Unfortunately for me, the other half ran through the turnstile before I could take advantage of this, and I really wish that we had done, as we were threatened, not once but twice, the day being ruined not only by the poor organisation of the event (45 minutes to queue to get in was a joke; I've never queued to get into a football match at the old stadium), but mostly by the drunken tw@s that turned up. Band highlights for me were: Razorlight Snow Patrol Kasabian Duran Duran () Beastie Boys Bloc Party Spinal Tap Metallica () Foo Fighters In no particular order. I was disappointed with RHCP; musically they were great, but just didn't interact well with the crowd.
Kent Fox Posted 9 July 2007 Posted 9 July 2007 I am still watching the PCD's! However, after finding out that one is a geezer-bird, I have spent 2 days editing her out. Far more enjoyable Foo Fighters were THE best that I saw by a country mile.
