Blackburn Sign Santa Cruz

The prices that they have paid for McCarthy and Santa Cruz are quality, considering the season that McCarthy had last year.

Time will tell as to whether Santa Cruz can play in the Prem. Maybe this could mean McCarthy is on his way.

Personally I think Santa Cruz will be a hit in the Premiership. I think him and McCarthy will strike up a nice partnership.

I think he'll be a flop. Hope not though.

Surely he's just a replacement for Nonda who'll be back off to Roma?

You could well be right. I only said it because there seems to be a lot of speculation around McCarthy at the moment. Time will tell I guess.

Benni will stay imo.

There hardly been speculation anyway, plus I havent heard McCarthy say he wanted leave.

He did at the start of the summer didn't he? Issuing a 'come and get me plea' to Mourinho. Perhaps just paper talk.

a few months ago he stated in many papers that he was desperate to play in the champions league again and didn't think he would achieve that a Blackburn and also that he wanted to hook up with Mourinho again at chelsea. Its just that they havn't stepped up there interest.

Although if McCarthy does go I'm sure Blackburn eill make a big profit on the £3m they brought him for a year ago.

Santa Cruz to me will be another Casaraghi, Kluivert, Maccarone and Shevchenko aka a foreign flop, big name for Blackburn to attract mind.

He'l be a quality signing. Mcarthy & Santa Cruz uprfront would be quality. Derbyshire either with them in a 3 man attack on can be used as an effective substitute.

Forgot they signed Rigters as well, he could be on his way.

I'm with young lildave, I have a feeling he'll stay.
