Finnegan Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 It's all happening again. And again. And again. You have my permission to laugh.
Finnegan Posted 31 July 2007 Author Posted 31 July 2007 Oh well, still got more hope than England.... Yeah, probably. But our entire world cup more or less rests on us beating Australia in Cardiff. Obviously that's a huge, huge bonus, but still. Nasty.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Sport isn't the only thing Joke.... You were right he first time, and then you shot yourself in the foot. Chebs and beer other requisites of a mans life
Simi Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 It's all happening again. And again. And again. You have my permission to laugh. Thank you. In all seriousness, it's a shame for him to be out of the tournement.
Head Honcho Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 It's all happening again. And again. And again. You have my permission to laugh. Take three shoite players out of a shoite team and you're still left with shoite! What's the problem? I'll be watching the match with 50 of my Welsh buddies on a stag weekend in Newcastle on Saturday. Should be fun
Sparky Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 this sweeney guy any good finners ? from what ive seen i think wales look far more dangerous unit with hook in at 10 rather than jones?
C-man Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 It's all happening again. And again. And again. You have my permission to laugh. 1. Henson's a cock. 2. Nevermind, at least Hook will play at 10 now. 3. Ryan Jones hasn't been the same since the grand slam year. I still think you'll do as well as England...
Nationwider Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Wales is sport. Pure, unadulterated sporting genius. Liquid sport, if you will. The land that gave us Barry John, Gareth Edwards and Jonathan Davies - magicians one and all. Colin Jackson - the most technically gifted British athlete ever, gliding effortlessly over hurdles like a dolphin riding the Atlantic currents. Ryan Giggs - the greatest footballer of his generation - an assassin; elusive, electric, swerving left and right like a python before unleasing a shot of purest venom. Don't be disheartened Finners, you still exist on higher plain than the Rob Andrews and Carlton Palmers of this mortal world.

Plays for my local club team and he's an above average fly-half but he supports Liverpool! ..not sure where Wales plan to play him though

Never mind, when's Calzaghe's next fight? He's about the only decent sportsmen you have right now!
Finnegan Posted 1 August 2007 Author Posted 1 August 2007 Prepare for a barrage of quotes. Take three shoite players out of a shoite team and you're still left with shoite! What's the problem? So I'm supposed to ignore your rugby ignorance and general 'wrongness' because you sight having a few Welsh mates? If we can EVER get our first 15 fit and together again any time in the next five or so years we'll be as awesome as any other nation (bar, probably, the All Blacks.) That's not really exceptional bias, ask anyone who knows their rugby. We've got some IMMENSE talent and Stephen Jones, Ryan Jones and Gavin Henson are - at their best - amongst the best and most highly rated players in the world in their positions We suffer the same problem in rugby as we do in the football - atrocious lack of depth. Ok, so we also suffer from atrocious lack of quality in the football too, but that's another story. 1. Henson's a cock.2. Nevermind, at least Hook will play at 10 now. 3. Ryan Jones hasn't been the same since the grand slam year. 1. True. But a very talented one, when he wants to be. 2. Meeehhhh, hugely overrated. Bit like Henson was in 05. Don't get me wrong, like Henson he's still a fantastic and fairly young player with, hopefully, a great career ahead of him. But he's no way near the Saint people want to make him out to be. I'd take Jones' leadership (though not captaincy), guile and experience over a bit of Hook flair any day, still. It's all too easy to nay-say Jonesy for the last tournament, I mean the captaincy was probably the wrong move. He'd have to go on a further run of fairly shite games to convince me he's lost it. But then you're talking to a Scarlet about a Llanelli boy vs. an Osprey. 3. No Ryan Jones hasn't been as good since the Grand Slam year. He's also barely been fit since the Grand Slam year, he's had a host of Wilkinsonesque issues and it's a real worry to see him injured again. Henson hasn't really been right since then either, though his issue's less fitness and more back-stage. Welsh rugby's littered with politics and off-pitch problems, come back Mr. Ruddock me thinketh - all's forgiven. The land that gave us Barry John, Gareth Edwards and Jonathan Davies - magicians one and all.Colin Jackson - the most technically gifted British athlete ever, gliding effortlessly over hurdles like a dolphin riding the Atlantic currents. Don't be disheartened Finners, you still exist on higher plain than the Rob Andrews and Carlton Palmers of this mortal world. Oh yeah, totally. Couldn't agree with you more. But, trust me, as a twenty-one year old Welshman it gets somewhat tiresome waving the flag for an entire national sporting history you were born to late to witness (in the case of the rugby.) I mean I can sit and chuckle to Max Boyce, watch videos of the Greatest Game Ever Played and drool over the greatest tries ever scored - but what right have I to REALLY harp about it? Giggs is someone I can take pride in, I suppose, but as it's commonly sighted - he's been wasted by our lack of international scene. Not the Wilkos, Johnnos and Terrys though... Wilko can only hope to ever be as good as the best number tens to have lined up for Wales. As Boyce will happily tell you, we churned out outside halves from a factory miles beneath the Earth's core. Johnno's a monster, however. And Terry, well, just flavour of the month really inn'e? He's about the only decent sportsmen you have right now! OOOOI!!! Watch your dirty mouth. Forgetting someone!?
